ok..first of all dont assume im being a dick when u read this....this is just the plain hard truth..if one is over sensitive to name calling and being called "noob" then they are not mentally fit to be playing a game that is centered around competition and killing. different personalities are drawn to different games. there is a reason why some people feel more comfortable playing survival and creative versus facs for example. survival and creative are geared and administered to create a more safe and friendly environment than facs. things u can do and say in facs are not allowed on other aem servers. facs isnt for everone....they cant handle the environment...so they go to a less aggressive atmosphere like survival or skyblock etc. and then there are people like you who are over sensitive to everything ( probably of no fault of your own) who cant play any server because some stranger behind a monitor says something to hurt your feelings. multi player games arent for everyone and THE INTERNET isnt for everyone. you are a very small % of players where this is a real issue. if the worst ive ever been called on aem is a "noob" then i feel like ive had a very good day. ive got 5 words for ya SINGLE PLAYER CANDY CRUSH SAGA

When people hurt you over and over, think of them like sand paper; They may scratch and hurt you a bit, but in the end, you end up polished and they end up useless - Chris Colfer
    Hope you get better soon!

On skyblock I try my best to keep chat under control.

I mentioned in staff chat a few days ago that we have no idea what players are going to be doing at the end of the day when they log out. The problem could be that there aren't enough staff on skywars or it could be something bigger then that.

We try to get players to use the /helpop system for situations like this. But we can't help when we have no idea what's happening. It's up to the players to submit player reports, to send in those helpops as much as possible so we can maintain the peace on the server and give everyone a good AEM experience.

I'm not sure about the other staff but me personally, I feel like cyber bullying is never going to end. It's always going to be there, whether it's on our server or else where. The best anyone can do is know your own self worth.

I've struggled severe depression and anxiety my whole life, I know where you're coming from. I do. I can relate to you that way. Cyber bullying used get the best of me all the time and would see the hospital 2-4 times every couple of weeks.

It would get so bad that I would have to keep repeating the same things over and over in my head to calm down. Step back from the situation, and analyze why I was upset, who I was upset by and how I was going to change it. This works for anyone who's struggling. Nones alone here so don't feel that way.

I'm here for anyone who needs it, and willing to be in contact with them it they need. You just need to ask.

As for skywars you've just got to let us know what's happening and who's doing it. That way we can talk to the player and proceed with the right actions against them.

I hope this helps, if you don't know me I'm a new MOD on skyblock but I've been around for a year now.

A lot of people on factions may take it too far. However, if they cannot handle it then they should probably /server survival. Basically the same thing except no raiding and no smack talk. I am not the kind of person that should ever step foot into survival though. I would probably try to TnT cannon some houses xD

People on the internet are from everywhere, Bullying is caused by the stress and bad choices that have happened in their daily life, I'm not saying that it is alright for them to be bullies on the internet, no its Wrong and bullying Is wrong, But at the same time, Bullying has always been around, it's not going to end anytime soon, since its been here since the beginning. Not only that Bullying has escalated due to technology growth, Being able to easily find someone on the internet and having the ability to contact anyone from anywhere is simple now a days.

"More than 1 in 3 young people have experienced cyberthreats online." - Cyber Bullying Statistics
" Fewer than 1 in 5 cyber bullying incidents are reported to law enforcement" - Cyber Bulling statistics

Now a days, people are afraid to speak out from being a victim of bullying, but that is why staff is here for, they are here for the players! If bullying is taking place don't speak up against them find someone who can take action, You'll only give them the reaction and attention that they want. Cryber- bullying online isn't as different then Bullying in real life. People behind the screen are emotionless, and can be ruthless they don't care if you've been hurt or have problems, but the people that have been around you will.

    "
    • Sending mean messages or threats to a person's email account or cell phone
    • Spreading rumors online or through texts
    • Posting hurtful or threatening messages on social networking sites or web pages
    • Stealing a person's account information to break into their account and send damaging messages
    • Pretending to be someone else online to hurt another person
    • Taking unflattering pictures of a person and spreading them through cell phones or the Internet
    • Sexting, or circulating sexually suggestive pictures or messages about a person" - Cyber Bullying statistics

It all starts with a change, and people can change if you can open their eyes wide enough, but also don't forget the people who have lost their life to the online interwebs who aren't here today. You can make a difference.
People who have lost their lives due to cyber bullying:
    *Sept. 29, 2012 – Ciara Pugsley, 15 years old
    *Oct. 27, 2012 – Erin Gallagher, 13 years old
    *Dec. 11, 2012 – Jessica Laney, 16 years old
    *Dec. 12, 2012 – Erin’s sister Shannon Gallagher, 15 years old
    *April 7, 2013 – Joshua Unsworth, 15 years old
    *July 15, 2013 – Daniel Perry, 17 years old
    *Aug. 2, 2013 – Hannah Smith, 14 years old
    *Sept. 10, 2013 – Rebecca Sedwick, 12 years old

I agree, that internet isn't a place for everyone , but its the same as some people who have no right to call themselves human, who take joy in picking on others, it isn't right and it should stop. Skywars isn't the best staffed place, but we have ./helpop and we have ./msg (player) and the forums to have someone take action. Nobody isn't alone here, but you have to start by speaking up!

We do all that we can as staff to handle these situations. As has been said, more sensitive players really shouldn't play such game modes that are competitive conflicts and stick to the "safer" games. It's up to players who are attacked to report such instances with proof such as screenshots because staff can't be there all the time. The situation is currently as best as can be done. Calling out staff or Alex and Ethan to "do something" isn't going to change what random players do. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, because that isn't in my nature. Rather, I'm just being realistic. Again, as has been said, bullying has always been and will always continue. We do what we can to punish offenders when we catch them. So the way it is now is as good as it's going to get. Take care and keep your head up. Lots of people suffer depression and come to Minecraft to escape the trials of everyday life. Just remember to stick to more positive situations, not competitive game modes where trash talk and frustration is a normal part of gameplay.
