    I died in lava with all my stuff. Is there a way I can get it back? Or should I just rage quit and give up on life????

    Did someone kill you with it? If you accidentally killed yourself, then be much safer next time. Maybe take a bucket of water with you whenever you mine :D. Either way, your items cannot be restored. Remember that this is BETA, meaning that problems are expected.
