    As the title implies i suggest to limit the maximum time an auction can be to 60 seconds.

    It allows for quicker auctions and thus more auctions than it does now (in the worst case if all auctions are 2min auctions it will allow twice as many auctions in the same time, limiting it to 60seconds)

    Also due to the "Anti-Snipe" feature even auctions only running 30secs can be blown up to 2minutes (enough time for people to bid ;) )

    So 60seconds should be enough. If people want to bid they will bid, if they dont want to, making the auction go 2minutes won't help anyways.

    Best regards

    I would like to propose something else;
    Limit the maximum time to 90 seconds;
    Make the default auction time 40-60 seconds;
    Make it that you can cancel your auc until the last 30 seconds, or if its easier to code just the half of the auction time.
    Last but not least make a failsafe so that ppl cant use alot of maximum time auctions

    I beg to differ! Though I don't play on Skyblock but Towny Survival,
    120 seconds max is good to let people calculate the price, as the bid increase you'll need to calculate on whether or not you'll profit from it.
    Some people need the extra time to do some calculations.

    What I suggest they do instead:
    Okay so instead of changing the timing,
    I rather they add in more queues and when the next turn is yours, they'll notify you like broadcast except no one else can see that ''broadcast'' as it's just to notify that it's your turn next so you can prepare your items.

    I'm with Verti on this one, I'm main skyblock gamer, and for people that quick /bid and etc it'll just add 15 more seconds so you do have time to calculate.

    @zRinne
    making the queue longer is of no use it gets full anyways

    Better than seeing "Queue is full" spam and spam but can't get in. So annoying.

    Let's not argue here, as zRinne said, calculating the price for the items is exquisite, I like the idea about that, leaving it at 120 seconds is fine, if you can't stand to wait 2 minutes, then do something else, do something that increase the amount of items that you can auction.

    Long auctions are a pet peeve of mine. Mostly because I'm impatient.

    Actually, I change my Mind, Rinnie and Verti are both correct.

    Anyway to plugin a function where if no one bids withing a certain amount of time it dubs down to 5seconds auto.

    Example : Auctioning apples for 2minutes say 45 seconds no one bids it auto dubs to 5seconds left. That way you still have time to /bid and think of price.

    @Hwangbo
    i think zRinne means is that the auctioner needs to time to determine if it is worth to keep it in auction or just cancel the auction

    oh ye youre right shes talking about that, but way i think is, why auction if you are not planning on getting rid of it, and if you want to be happy at a price then do /auc 1 50 5 30 if u would be happy with 50$ and go from ther, i normally do my auctions for 1$ because i know from marketing people that want the item will bid auto, and if not and it sells for 1$ i am still satisfied hahah, and people start to like u a lil morr haha i'm weird i suppose

    Thats exactly they way me and mixi roll. if people want the item they will bid if not they wont.
    And i agree with Hwangbo, if you have a set minimum price you want to achieve you can just set this as starting bid.

    I totally agree with Gluupor and Hwangbo. When my items going out for 1$, its ok for me. If not, i make a bigger starting bid.

    I can't say I agree on this one - I understand the concern about auctions going on forever due to last second sniping but I think this encourages an active/competitive economy.

    what do you not agree on^^^ lol

    there were a few different things mentioned . =)

    as for competitiveness less time its up there more people will want to /bid, the ones that cannot think fast enough bids because they want it, ones that can think bid because they know base value. it is always different. but if you are auctioning 1 sand for 2minutes. =PP
