AcesSlayerxd told me that he wanted to join my faction. Then the second thing he said was "if I betray I will buy you overlord" (http://I.imgur.com/z9ztmcW.jpg). He joined the faction and he had -3 power and that put it so we could be over claimed. So I kicked him and somewhere in there he must have done something with his old faction (obsidian), where they claimed over HemixElite's f home. I don't know what you think but I think that tp'ing someone in to claim over me is betrayl. So if someone could please talk to aces about this that would be great. I don't see where this really constitutes rank scamming. This is more of an empty promise. No items changed hands. I think the rule against rank scamming was not implemented to protect against these circumstances.
When u kicked him he was no longer a part of your faction and so he was no longer under any agreement not to betray your faction. If he left and betrayed then it would be different and he would be at fault.
I'm going to have to agree here. You agreed to let him into your faction and if he betrayed while still in the factions (as he left on his own free will then betrayed) then yeah I can see it. But here's what I'm seeing. He joined in, you then kicked him, which as Opifex said, you made his deal null and void by doing so, then he raided you for doing so. I will however discuss this with other staff and get their opinions on the matter.
I agree. There was no rank scamming. You kicked him from the faction, which disregarded the entire contracts. If he left and betrayed, that would be different. Since you kicked him, he had the right to go against your faction.
Plus Gameover had this same situation with heath If everyboty had swore if i betray you i will give you a rank there is nothing being traded there. A rank scam is in game items for IRL money there is no ingame items being traded.
But that contradicts everything that you said... it is almost rank scamming for you, considering that there was no way that he could have betratyed becauce he couldnt have a chance, not that he should have done it anyways.
The deal was you were going to let him into your faction, which was his reward, and if he betrayed, you would get overlord, your reward. In a rank deal, if one person scammed with a reward, that would be a ban for the scammer. In your case, his reward (being let into the faction) was scammed by YOU because you kicked him out of the faction, regardless of having high or low power.
He didn't betray you, you kicked him. And u didnt give him like 1000 diamond blocks so dont whine about not getting a rank
