I hate to sound like such a noob, but once you create a faction and claim land, can other factions get into your base (i.e. destroy stuff)?
They can only claim if you have more claimed faction land than your faction power, but they can still use TNT cannons to wreck your base and steal your stuff.
As long as your is less than your power the only way you can get your stuff destroyed is TNT cannons, which isn't an effective method really of obtaining your items. Multiples layers of obsidian and water is probably the most effective way to hold them off. If you have more land than power though, then they can just go right in and steal your stuff the easier and more convential way. So yeah, it kinda doesn't make much difference. It's just harder for them if it is claimed.
OK, my base was raided last night while I was AFK. My walls are right on the border of my claim ad they still broke through. Do my walls need to be INSIDE the border?
To maybe help with your question. Claims are 16x16 blocks but NOT necessarily where you claimed it at. To figure this out, do /f map. If you cover your base with water, be sure that your water is atleast 4 blocks from the border of your claim. If it is any closer, people attempting to raid you will be able to sponge off your water and get in easier. I hope this post helps.
