There has been a rumor going through the servers that we will be loosing our in-game ranks, due to the new mojang terms. I would like to ask Staff and Management if there is any truth to these rumors, so that they may be stopped once and for all.

I know and i've seen that post, absolutely no useful information has come of it. I was hoping an admin or owners would take notice. No offense but the mods and helpers don't seem to be in the loop on it and i cant get in touch with someone who knows an answer. I'm asking if the owners are removing the ranks, i know what the mojang terms say.
Rumor yet again since I know nothing for sure but I'm pretty sure we will get to keep our ranks, just lose most of the perks that go along with them now. Depending on your rank we might get to keep cosmetic stuff: /hat, colored chat, stuff like that. But I too would love to hear a definite answer from Alex, Ethan, or Sway on this as well. <3 I still have some hope that Mojang will back down on this or that maybe some servers will be grandfathered in.
I'm offended, just kidding. Anyways, it's not that they do not want to help you, it's just that they do not want to get the information's wrong as some staff are not informed. If they told you the wrong information they've gotten it'll cause trouble, broken hopes and be let downs, also get flamed by everyone. Please try to understand. If we knew the answers we world definitely assure our players. We would update you guys if we can get the informations.
though I've seen no official statements of it I highly doubt it to be true, logically thinking through corporate warfare the only reason for mojang to even pull this would be to gain profit through the new "realms" purchases they have now for $14.00/mo but even so there's too many factors in play for them to successfully win in this as they'd have to fight it out with all the external hosting sites for minecraft who make profit plus all the angry players who play online there's a high chance this rumor was placed by some noob who was pissed at donors in order to cause an uproar fact is with ecommerce if you pay for services rendered it's fair trade it's only if you're attempting to sell the product claiming it your own that it infringes on copyright laws. And the only way people could even remotely consider it a breach is if (at least from what I've heard) is if 3rd party hosts are making profit by selling out the webpage and server by setting up a payment system to buy administrative powers to any willing member of that community, so to be honest one I'm tired of hearing ppl whine and freak out about this crap and two it's really just junk spilled like server resets though they have more chance of occurring than this ever would.
There are plenty of loopholes and ways to make things fair + fun for donators and regular players. Nobody will be losing ranks. Things will be about the same as they are now. Don't worry about it Note: Any more threads regarding the EULA will be deleted.
