Has anyone else been experiencing unbearable drops in FPS on the planets? I have an older machine so I recognize that I will not be rocking triple digit FPS, but I can manage a decent 20 or so (it's playable at least) on my ship. But as soon as I hop onto a planet to try to gather resources, I drop to 3-4 FPS. I have played on the survival server and been in plenty of different biomes in the resource world there. While I sometimes have spikes in FPS, it is generally stable and I can play there. I do have Optifine A5, the latest version (as of the writing of this post) and my render distance is set to 5 chunks. I'm pretty sure I have everything I want set to minimal to lessen the strain on my PC. Again, I can handle everything except the planets.
@Pip Xanadu I understand that this is a beta server, but I'm trying to understand why the planet worlds cause my frames to drop so drastically.
I don't have these issues when loading chunks on my skyblock island or on the survival resource world. The only place I notice a drop in FPS would be around my sheep farm on my skyblock, but I understand that. I don't understand why I have trouble in all the non-desert biomes.
I experience the drop in FPS as soon as I get to the planets. I dont know if there is something wrong with my computer or what but it is annoying how i keep dying in the pvp planet.
