How to get aem more active again :D

    Make The Server 1.8 and 1.7
    More people play minecraft on 1.7 then 1.8 so the average person will see the server is 1.8 only and will be to lazy to switch versions.

    This isn't the best way but pay a famous youtuber to make a video about the server.
    This will get people to join because of their favorite youtuber played on the server


    In conclusion aem wasn't like it used to be I just want it to get popular again so please consider the suggestions.

    In my opinion 1.8 is better and it should stay 1.8 if they made it 1.8 and 1.7 it would just be very complex and they would have to remove 1.8 out of everything because im pretty sure if u make 1.7 compatible and 1.8 compatible 1.8 items and stuff are unusable and would have to be removed.

    Sorry, but making the server 1.8 and 1.7 makes all the work they did for 1.8 pointless. If people want to play on 1.7, then they'll play 1.7. Not much you can do about it.

    Concerning the popularity of AEM, I think it's fine the way it is. If you grow quickly, you attract the trolls and other 'undesirables' of the internet. I know if I encounter too many undesirables on a server, the likelihood of me coming back falls. If you want AEM to grow, the best way to do that is through voting for it and by word of my mouth.

    That's my opinion on the matter though.

    Aem is growing again and I would say at a pretty fast speed. 1.8 is better as well in my opinion it adds more stuff.

    I remember the times when there was only about 120 players on average, now there's around 200.

    AEM had a prime of around 700 during primetime. Alex hired Woofles and a couple other guys to stream some Zombies a while back, but it wasn't too successful. Plus, A youTuber would only attract very temporary fans. Those guys would only play as long as that Youtuber.. 1.7 is much better for PvP, but like @Rainingrecon said, 1.8 dev work would be voided.

    Hows 1.7 better for pvp? Its just the same as 1.8 pvp

    I think some famous yter would HELP but not enough to pay much, and as for 1.7/1.8 it'd make the work the staff put into 1.8 pointless

    Well once SkyGrid resets, I will possibly be making a YT series about it. Plus, I may stream on Twitch once I learn how XD

    The big youtuber idea has long since sailed.

    They all make so much cash that i think any reasonable amount we could offer them would be to little.

    But a really well made video advertising the server might help.

    especially if it gets enough hits as people tend to watch popular videos.

    Actually, its kind of hard to explain, but Mojang did change some mechanics of PvP during 1.8. I don't remember all of them, but one I have noticed was if someone hits you into the air, they can get a good 4 or 5 hit combo without you being able to hit them back.

    Yep. Guys like ImPikeh and AGLights (now Crookerix) did short series about skywars, but it didnt last.
