Previously, the application system was, in my opinion, very bad. The thread got cluttered fast, and I am positive none of the staff would be able to keep up. I am hoping that in this new website, the staff application will be much better, and on this website.
I love your idea MrChrisdamonste, I too have thought of that idea. I just didn't wanna say anything at the time because.. well some people would get "defensive".
Perhaps maybe make it so members have some input on the application, and staff have the final say in it. just a thought.
I do like the sound of that, Thatepictntguy. But alas, it's a network of servers and people in power are verrrry important. It should only be chosen at the discretion of leaders already. I would still like a change to the Application System.
There are always a lot of applications, I think a 'search IGN' would come in handy when looking for a specific person's application.
I think we should have a more simpler staff application system and we should have it to where non-staff people can make comments on the application because that will help decide if the person has a good attitude and a good heart.
I like your suggestion and I agree that staff applications can become cluttered but I can assure you they are all read. Some things that are important to note is we use the minecraftforum.net for our applications because it not only helps the server get recognition on there but helps keep a record of all applications that have ever been submitted. We've changed our forum a few times as AEM has become larger and better so this is a big help. I have to say I do not like the idea of other players commenting on staff applications. The reason I say this is because I think it could very quickly become argumentative or negative. We have everyone from ages 8 to ages 50 post applications and while we review all of them I don't think everyone will be able to understand that not all players take criticism the same way. I would hate for players to dislike each other because someone made a comment that you might not be a great mod or helper. We will definitely take these suggestions into consideration as we make further updates to the website. Thanks so much!
