Sadly people usually dont get banned just by saying they have hacks. Since alot of faction and survival servers have x-ray block he could have just said that to show off. I bet staff will look closely as to what he does though!
I'm of the opinion if u admit it u should be banned. lets take hacking seriously and not even joke about it. I hate that bans were reset and a lot of known hackers were allowed to come back. They will apply their hacks til they are caught.. again. Unfortunately people will lose their stuff or bases with no recourse of getting them back. Then the hacker will appeal and come back and get to keep the loot/items that were gained illegally.
What if he is lying? Just wanting to be cool! Because he thinks having hacks is cool. Staff don't want to ban people that don't hack for hacking it would reflect badly on the server. Most hackers are not permitted to appeal or buy a unban pass. As seen in many examples.
To be honest, both arguments are valid here. Many people usually just want to be 'cool' and show off to staff and(or) their friends. However they can be admitting or being seriously stupid. I would have just SSed him but he has most likely deleted them by now.
lots of servers its illegal to say it and its also illegal to accuse someone. and we can stop this "coolness" by making it bannable. but he was just on 10min ago with this.
Accusing someone of hacking (another day) is somewhat against the rules as they should file a report with proof and not nag staff.
Bevore the reset saying you had hacks was admitting you have them. You would be banned and had to file an appeal
That was before the reset and I somehow dont belive that is true or at least I never saw it happen. But times have changed now Sway makes the rules!
Admitting you're hacking like this does not mean you're properly admitting. This player report will be locked.
