I use optifine, but it has an auto installer, rather than it just being a mod. It is the only mod I use, and I have no mod folder because of that. Optifine does not need to be in a MOD folder to be used. It can be under versions where it is a built in profile where he installs it. Unless he use optifine with other mods that require forge. If he just uses one then it isn't needed. Unbanning now.
