Ban Appeal from BRANSON234

well there are a few things missing from this.
1. you were str 2 rushing people with axes. Forcing a rule of no weapons when nobody else was doing this in an arena design for knockback, not death by axes. You argued about it, claiming no rule was posted. I made the rule (just because you wanted it), and I log and you are shown str2 axe rushing people
2. some of your warnings

3. was told you were talking bad about some staff on teamspeak? Now I already know what happened, but you seem to have forgotten.

Branson then proceeded to teamspeak and with a couple of witness, heard him insulting fats using homo slander.

So please do elaborate on why you deserve another chance, were you sorry for your action? Why aren't homo/racist slander not allowed
How can you prevent such situations from happening again.

Calling someone gay, or other homosexual slander is saying being gay is bad/wrong. You may not agree but using the word(s) in a derogatory way is not acceptable. Aem should be a place where one is not judged on race/religion/sexual preferences.

Having fun axe str rushing in a knockback arena wasn't fun for the many people you killed.

I wasn't offended, just annoyed you refused to follow simple rules. You do get away with tons of stuff.

I'm still waiting for any input from @BloodyJT before final decision.

 

Truer words haven't been spoken. Attacking somebody via their sexuality or anything to the likeness of that isn't right.

I personally hate, and I mean I REALLY hate, when people use "faggot" or any other homosexual slur to demean someone. It's really treating them as sub-human because of their sexual preference.

I'm 25 years old, lived most of my life in a heavy set Christian community and was taught "being gay is a sin/wrong". To me that seemed strange, why is it that way? If someone came out of the closet, it would seem every time I did that old lesson brought up again "being gay is a sin/wrong" or they would be teased/mocked/bullied for it. I kept asking "Why do people deserve that? It's not the mocker/teaser/bully's life they're affecting but their own." But never the less I was pushed into thinking being "gay was wrong". I told my parents about a crush I had when I was in high-school, knowing what I felt about the person and what my own sexuality was. They asked me "What's she like?". I told them it was a 'he' and then was instantly pushed back into the "gay is a sin/wrong" mentality by my own parents. A few years has passed, I've dated a few girls, never really liked it, it wasn't me... I didn't want to be with a girl... It felt like I was lying to myself about who I was but I had to because "being gay is a sin/wrong". I then started doubting my self-worth and even if I still needed to be alive. I gotten to a point in it where I was borderline suicidal, thinking of many ways that I could 'accidentally' die. Dec. 23rd rolled around, my friend of 12 years, who is now my boyfriend, admitted his feeling towards me and I did the same. I'm now living with him, happier than I can be. We have been together for over a year now and I'm not different from our neighbors who are in a straight relationship. I want to be treated equal, as a human, and not like some "sub-human" that has a specific slur tied to him and have it thrown around like it's a bad thing to be.

So I ask you, imagine if people started to use your name as an insult, imagine if suddenly being called "BRANSON234" was a bad thing, imagine if being called "BRANSON234" makes you question your life and your own self-worth. Would you like it?

So after hearing my story do you understand why I HATE when people use the words "fag" or "faggot" to demean someone?

My apologizes for lack of response fats; various circumstances have kept me otherwise engaged and I haven't been much able to devote time to AEM.

Anyway, my opinion would be simply this. This player Branson234 has been banned and warned many times about varied issues. Only recently he was very clearly told that he was allowed to remain unbanned on what was essentially a probationary period. I believe this can be confirmed by zRinne who was aware of the previous situation. As you know, I am relatively loathe to ban anyone permanently and am more than willing to give everyone second , and even third and fourth, chances for redemption. In this particular case, I have tried my best to even make it a personal matter to counsel this player into keeping his act clean , but this has simply resulted time and time again no avail. That being said, as much as I hate to say it , I feel this player has repeatedly taken advantage of the kindness and patience of the AEM staff and seems incapable of escaping this pattern of wholly unacceptable behaviors.
