I agree with the reset due to a number of things. It would help out the economy as well due to almost everyone being reset to the amount they need to be set at. The golden shovel can be iffy due to the number of claim blocks one would need to spend time on the server for. It also can be used to troll and grief if one doesnt have enough and some one comes rolling and claiming the area you have built. I rather have towny over this. But it is up to the dev crew and alex for this and i agree for letting us know ahead of time for the reset and that shiz biz
There are many plugins besides the golden shovel, but I also agree that could be a problem, so maybe we could make it cost money to claim land, like towny
Maybe you guys can make it so if someone has a shop, multiple people can access the chests. That way you don't have to wait till the 'owner' comes online
There are people who share a shop cause they are in the same town or just are good buddies with each other. Maybe the money can get split? (I have no idea if it's possible)
Oh true, but you could just make the chest shops next to each other and sell the same thing at the same price, so if one runs out of stock they buy from the others, or such
That could work to, but personally I don't like that to much. Cause to be honest, if you make a shop with someone else you just want a huge shop with a lot of items so you can earn some good money. So it doesn't really work if you have to make that twice since it't so huge
well.... I'm not overly keen on a reset, but I'd be willing if higher ranked players get more / commands, maybe a /fireball command to take down old builds quickly, or add /smite to only top ranking players (in case a sword breaks and are surrounded by mobs) powertool commands also should be given to top ranking players for the same reason as /smite, if they abuse it, take it away from them. just a thought. Besides, just bought ultimate rank, so if it happens in the next month and we don't keep rank I wish to be compensated. Money doesn't grow on.... ok, well maybe, bust still...... also /Disguise needs fixing. I feel like I'm missing part of my moneys worth here.

I don't agree with you about the added commands part. After everything it's called survival and not creative. I feel that it will be more like creative if you add the /fireball command to take down a build quickly. Also I don't think /smite is a good idea. Getting killed by mobs is something that can happen if your sword breaks, it's part of the game...no need for commands to save you. I do agree with you that the /disguise thing needs to get fixed.
I don't feel that this suggestion is fair towards players with not that much money. If everyone can keep their money after the reset the economy will be unfair. The players with all the money will be able to buy all the good stuff from other players or shops. This also means that the players with a lot of money can start a town really quick. Which is unfair towards other players with less money. Cause they get the 'annoying' places in the build world to build. My opinion: a restart is a restart so no keeping money
Even though there is close to a zero percent chance of it happening, could high ranking players (admins, head-admins,) be given a command that allows another player to unclaim chests, furnaces, signs, ect. It doesn't need to be and shouldn't be permanent, however players place down such things making it nigh impossible for people such as myself, who wish to clear abandoned buildings to do so. I feel this would be important because a large number of structures in the world are broken and abandoned, and with this "Permit of Salvage", we could clear such buildings to allow room for newer players. Yes when the map is resetting, it should have a countdown to aware players of it. It should be once every 3 months and like the suggested voting it should show up in the chat every once in a while.
There has been a lot of people talking about a server reset. I have a suggestion. As well as a fear. I will start off with my fear. The last server I played on reset, and it killed the server. When I logged on I found out that the kits and ranks where reset as well. I was told to just donate again. Sad to say I have never returned to that server. So please tell me we will get to keep the ranks we have already gotten. Now as to the suggestion. If you reset allow everyone to have a double chest to store things to take to the new world. Have like a temp vault server. This will allow people to take some of their hard to find items. Just a thought.
The problem with your suggestion is that this would mean that some people would have an unfair start for when the after server resets.
about as fair as someone who hasn't spent the days gathering and building being given a copy of my inventory. In other words, it isn't fair to make those that have spent time and money start the same as those who have not. Or at least that is my opinion. of course I am more worried about losing my premium rank than i am about anything. But at the least allow personal inventory to be transfered.
hmmm a good money making scheme would be to sell a early access for like $5. Run the server for like a week or two only allowing those who bought the package, or for that matter, who have donated already on.
You won't lost any ranks, and the whole point of the reset is that everyone gets to start off fresh, if some people were to start off with so say a full double chest of spawners, diamond blocks, and beacons, it would be unfair for everyone else.
