In Game Name: JdawgerWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: All Main ServersShort title for your suggestion: Shulkers at /warp jobsWhat are you suggesting: A clickable sign kit at /warp jobs that gives the player some shulker boxes for free. For sake of amount (which obviously can be altered), maybe 5-10 per 24hrs.Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: Besides that one shop giving them away, shulker boxes go for a little over $100 per at other shops. The point of /jobs was to give newer players an opportunity to get what they feel is a lot of money for completing small tasks (like collecting 4 stacks of cobble). If the lowest job is currently at a $500 reward and a new player needs to buy a shulker box for (let's say) $125, that's 25% lost revenue from the job for the box. If we have a free clickable kit that gives a few (again, like 5 or so), it won't cut down too much of their small profit. Yes, it might kill the shulker box market a little, but really, it's already pretty low, and the richer players already have a significant amount of them & have access to a lot more.Other information: Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
I think this is a great idea that would encourage newer players to do more jobs. My only suggestion is to have the kit be "4x daily" (ie 6 hour cooldown) to align with the most frequent jobs. Then you can make the kit give 1 or 2 shulkers. I think this would affect the shulker market less and encourage new players to get on more often.
+1 Since this system is geared towards new players, you have to think from the perspective of the new player who knows nothing about how ECC works, especially since it seems like not many even read the tutorials upon spawning in or even /help. So here's a scenario I've seen happen already, a new player asks how to make money and someone tells them to try out the new jobs system. They go to the warp and want to do the cobblestone job, since maybe they already have cobble from mining. They see they need a Shulker box so they ask how to get a Shulker box in global, someone tells them to /warp to someone's shop to buy a Shulker box for $125 (which is about the average price people are selling at now). Then they more than likely have to ask in global "How do I buy" and wait for someone to respond "Right click the sign," since most modern servers don't use chestshops. Once they figure it out they go back to warp jobs, have to find the cobble job again then when they finally turn in the job they get $500 but end up only making $375 profit. That's only if they already have the little bit of money it costs for a Shulker box. If they didn't have any money, chances are they'd just give up on jobs or just quit in general. If they have to spend money to make such little money at warp jobs, while they don't even know how to make money, period, no new players would want to do jobs. All of that time and effort for barely any profit. Most of this could be avoided if there was a kit or a sign for Shulkers right at /warp jobs.
-1 Shulkers are already super easy to get and very accessible. I think the whole point of submitting shulkers instead of just items in your inventory was to get rid of the enormous amount of shulkers that are in the economy. Adding a sign that gives you free shulkers kind of defeats the point of shulker farming at all.
-1 Players can attain shulkers so easily. They are practically free and accessible to all. Just takes 1 shulker spawner at mining spawn haha.
I'm not a fan of giving out a ton of free shulkers since so many exist in the market. BUT I know that its hard for new players to get started. So I have added a tutorial job at /warp jobs, this can be done once every 7 days, it will award $500 for turning in the shulkerbox you can get from the nearby kit sign. They can use this money to buy more shulkerboxes. This is also to tune them into to how to submit a shulkerbox for a job. I have also added 1 shulkerbox to the /kit starter, so new players can get started immediately with a job of their choice after learning how to do them. That's 2 per 24hrs via /kit starter. I am not doing anything more than that. I want an outlet for Shulkerboxes, not for the market to remain at a standstill because we give them out for free.
