Spleef Tournament

EcoCityCraft Spleef Tournament!

When:

• Tournament #1: RBD

Spleef is a competitive game where you face off another user on a snow arena and break the blocks with a shovel and attempt to make your opponent fall. In each match the player who falls first loses the match!

Since this is a tournament, this is how it goes down.

• Each contestant will play 4 rounds. It doesn't matter if you win or lose these rounds, you play all four.
• These rounds are where you attempt to earn points to place you in the Final 8.
• Your wins/points earned will translate to tickets/ECD earned even if you do not place in the top 8.

After the four rounds and all players have played we will determine the top 8 players by their earned points!

Point System:

• Players earn points by winning their games, if you win a game what is left of the arena is added to your total points for the tournament.
• The more points you have the better your chances of getting into the Final 8, it benefits you to finish games quickly!
• Points earned are determined by how many blocks of the arena remain after the match ends!

Scoring (Wins):

• Each match will end when one of the players fall or the round reaches a point in which it cannot end. If a player falls the opposing player wins the point
  • If the round reaches an impasse then the player with the most reachable blocks wins the match and all included points.
  • You are expected to show for your match, if you don’t show it will be considered a loss, one no-show will result in a DQ from the bracket lineup.
• There is a possibility of being placed in the bracket later if you are late, but there is no guarantee of this!

Scoring (Points):

• Players will earn points determined by how much of the snow arena is left at the end of the match.
  • 1 point for every 25 blocks remaining. Up to 35 points to be earned per match!
  • You will also earn $5,000 EcoDollars for every point earned!
• You will only earn 9 of the possible points if your match results in a bye from a no-show.

Final 8 Matches:

• The top 8 players will play 2-6 more rounds to determine who will be the top 4 winning players. These games are elimination games, meaning if you lose, you are eliminated.

Final 4 Matches:

• The top 4 players to make it through the elimination rounds will then play each other to determine final placements. Losers will play each other and winners will play each other.

Prizes:
Prizes are for the finalists of each tournament.

Match Prizes:

• 50,000 ECD + 2 Event Raffle Ticket for every match won! ~ So even if you don’t make the final cut for the big prizes, you can still earn a prize for winning rounds! Yay! ~

Where:

• Spleef will be held at /warp spleef on the Main server!

Rules:

• Try to bring your own silktouch diamond shovel. If you cannot bring one, some will be provided.
• Provided shovels(will be owned by me) will need to be returned at the end of each match.
• No /j
• No /fly
• No /speed
• No disruptive features
• TL : DR, don’t cheat. Using these or anything else that results in an unfair advantage during a match will result in a loss for you.
• Good Sportsmanship is required. Poor sportsmanship and/or disruptive behavior may result in a DQ and/or a removal from the server entirely for the duration of the event.
• Use your common sense and don’t be an idiot.
• Lastly, have fun!

• You are required to sign up for this event for the formation of the tourney brackets
