So i had yet another crazy, utterly insane idea. This is my thinking. Most people who get banned for xray used it because they were frustrated for money right? Meaning, i truly belive that 30% of them could come back on no problem and never xray again. But 30% is a small number. How to raise this higher, and oh, make more money for the server... hmmmm... I have an idea! Make getting unbanned for xray a donation, lets say $10 pending further andrew thought. Ok, now hold your horses. I know everyone is going WT* DAVID BLAINE?!?!? but listen. I personally, seriously believe that this is a way for people who really like it here to come back, while preventing them from making the same mistake twice, because they had to pay for it. Make it one time deal. No second chances.... or no third chances, in this case I also think that no one will buyback that is alreadly planning on using it again. They were caught once, and think this will make extra revenue for the server while helping it grow, as well. Let the storm of a thousands moderators commence.... Oh and also, I should tell you tha-
I don't believe this is a very good idea, imo. They could just donate to get back on, xray some more, get banned, donate, unbanned, xray, etc. It would make it waaaaaaaay too hard for the SuperMods. And the storm begins... :twisted:
First point: you missed where i said it was a pne time deal, so you can only donate your back in once. S Second, thats the point, isnt it? $10 will make at minimum 90% of those who Do donate refrain from xraying, and those who dont will have given the server $10 to essentially wast a little of a mods time. One time deal. Aquire currency.
I like the idea of helping the server make some money but dont care to see some people who xrayed come back. Id say maybe also add in they basically start over with nothing again as well since if you could xray and get a bunch of things then get banned just to pay to get back on and keep what you xrayed then that isnt fair to people who like to play legit since it could make the economy unstable if enough people did it just to get some diamonds or other items quickly. Its not a terrible idea though as i understand it so just gonna say i agree with this message Just needs a little tweak to it so it isnt abused.
That isnt a bad idea, make it a rank reversion (though most will be builders) and clear their inventory.... but im thinking adding in resseting their lwc chests will make it to difficult on mods to add it in, ao i would leave those...
This would have Andrew swimming in murky water. People would begin to think he was just banning people to make more money fof the server. As it stands now, no evidence is given or appeal possible if you are caught xraying, which is fine because the majority are builders or haven't donated any real money to the server. If you start letting people pay to get back on the server then evidence will most certainly have to be given to curb the perception that Andrew is not just scamming people out of $10. Evidence given would mean other people could see what the super mods look for when catching xrayers which in turn lets people figure out how to get away with it. I'm not saying that Andrew would ever try to scam anyone. I'm just saying the perception would definitely be there and would just end up giving the server a bad name.
