World Edit

-1... This would destroy the purpose of building... It is also REDICULOUSLY underpriced (This will never happen, sorry)

 

I just want to point out that users will never ever ever ever everrr have the ability to use world edit themselves. I don't even think Revan has it, GAs+ have very limited access to it for apps.

If this were implemented, which I think would be a horrible idea, it would instead be for the ability to make world edit applications, which Andrew would still probably charge ECD for even if you had the donation.

That being said, Andrew did try to implement this feature in the past, and took it down a couple hours later after realizing how horrible of an idea it was. You paid for the feature and then still had to make and pay ECD for the application. He opted to just take user world edits out altogether, which was the right move, although it is fun when he occasionally has temporarily available world edit applications for a couple days here and there.

 

Only Andrew has world edit powers to my knowledge and he isn't letting anyone else use them. As well, this is easily abused. -1

 

I believe andrewkm has stated this will never happen.

 

Keep in mind, with world edit, not only is there a load of lag, but you can basically turn your whole town into diamond blocks.

 

This is the craziest suggestion ive ever read... :/

Which worldedit features? cause if you just hand around //set and all those commands, do you know how much power a user would have? Create diamond blocks for free.... clearing for free, little effort, and even server lag. REALLY bad idea. -1

 

It will never happen because it really messed up chunks on previous worlds,
This is why world edit is pretty much never done anymore, even Andrew doesnt use it unless he has to.

 

-1 You can make money clearing your land and then selling it flat, otherwise it'll be -1 way to make money and -1 challenge.

1) World edit causes server lag
2) World edit could be used to generate items/blocks out of thin air.
3) World edit isn't even available through an app anymore because Andrew doesn't want to lag the server constantly.

Basically, I don't think this will ever happen and it most certainly shouldn't happen.

Basically... grief would be insane. So I apologize, but I have to say no to this idea. I have to say no to it even coming back for town edit applications, as it's too OP. Hire builders!

Practically everything said. Even if it was a feature for 500 USD you could transform a 200x200x256 town to diamond blocks. Much more profit made than selling 500 USD for donations. And grief... 200x200x256 //set air. Big hole even through bedrock. Town gone. Aswell, I think WE is unable to respect WorldGuard perms when editing. Spawn? Hole into the void.
