So, (for when I become mayor,) What is the best way to make money off a town?? Selling Prebuilts or selling Farm Perms?? I don't want to sell plots because plots make towns ugly.
From how I understand the Plot pricing (which could be somewhat wrong :-/) 10x10 plots are like 3-5k In a 200X200 there are a limited number of these you can sell depending upon how you do roads and such. I'm pretty sure pre-builts are like 10-15k or more depending upon niceness, but there is a limited number (again), and they require more work. Farm perms to one of the best farms on ECC is 12.5k as of now. but with farms there is an unlimited amount of people can add. However farms require the most work out of all this stuff. As with all things on ECC (with the exception of beggers, and lotto winners) the harder you work, the more you profit.
There are already so many farm towns on the server, it'll take forever to make one that will stand out and thus make a decent profit. I would suggest going with prebuilts, you can make them yourself if you're good or hire a builder or resident to build it for cheap. You could probably even make two or three really big prebuilts and sell those at high prices.
I saw a truely beautiful mansion built by maco go for 150k yesterday... It was HUGE as far as prebuilts go, and not something just anyone could make. So perhaps big prebuilts would be the way to go with a really good builder? (but pay the builder very badly, unless your building for yourself)
