This is a new thread of http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/which-crop-is-truly-the-best.48872/ I will be making this because of the Sugar Cane nerf, since all the numbers are messed up now. So feel free to vote and give some numbers below, because the goal of the previous thread and this one was to get some common numbers for how much these crops really make.

    Current Data:
    Pumpkins: N/A
    Melons: N/A
    Reeds: N/A
    Wheat: N/A

This depends on the abilities and tools you have. If you can do your own erepairs, use speed(fly), and have an Eff5 axe pumpkins are the best. In my opinion melons with a melon sword just seem slow in terms of harvesting. It makes a lot of money... but is slow none the less. And having a melon sword is a huge responsibility and very costly should anything happen to it. Reeds just got nerfed so they are completely out of the question. Wheat is very profitable. But the thing with wheat is the time wasted replanting. You spend more time replanting than you do harvesting in either case. And auto-wheat farming has a slot of issues depending on how its set up. But these you would have to see. PM me in game and I'll show you my auto wheat farm and its issues. But i favor pumpkins. Although with their high demand it is likely that the price of pumpkins will go down again eventually. In the event of that happening i would probably save for a melon sword and farm melons and wheat.

There's a few, 2 I can think of right now. You could have a macro like me, that automatically places the seed, bonemeals it, then harvests it. It's legal as long as I'm not afk but with the new bonemeal nerf I lose $200 for about every 3-5 mins I use it. Then you could have a semi-auto wheat farm where the water harvests the wheat.

With fly and extcommands+, pumpkins top the charts at around 19-20k an hour. If you have a small farm and a melon sword, however, melons are the better option. Melons will bring in a little over 17k/hour.
I've also recently discovered that Nether Wart is a good option if you have fly. The advantage of Nether Wart is that for the space, it can bring in a lot of money. Once you have a harvesting strategy, it will bring in about 17.5k an hour (assuming you are using a fortune III tool), and that factors in replanting. As my herbalism gets higher, replanting is getting less and less time consuming as well.

I have no clue how to pumpkin farm to get up to 19k an hour with pumpkins, I always get into these terrible lag spikes that take me about 45 seconds to get out of, tell me your secret!

When I end up with a lag spike that causes phantom pumpkins, I simply teleport far enough away to unload the chunk and come back. I have also found a method that is both quick and cuts down on phantom pumpkins. I use CJB speed 2 and strafe back and forth down a double row of pumpkins. I can always stop myself when I realize pumpkins aren't dropping (due to lag), and then resume when the spike ends. I've noticed that when you're traveling at a higher speed, you are more likely to encounter the rollback effect. Also, with this method, you pick up almost every pumpkin as you're harvesting, so there is no need to worry about missing any. I've timed all of the speeds and methods, and this one seems to be the most efficient when lag spikes are fairly frequent.

When I get mayor, should I make a giant 200x200 farm, or make a place for people to live?

I have a few questions for all:
    1. What are macros?
    2. What can they do for you?
3 Does one simply make a macro? (If not how does one make one?
