    Hey guys,

I have been thinking about getting a new laptop computer lately as mine can't keep up with the battery life needs that I have. It has to be a Lenovo and preferably a thinkpad as I know where to get them cheap ;) and they're also nicely built.

I currently have the lenovo thinkpad edge e520 which is a powerful PC with win7 pro, but it has awful battery life on max performance and if I set it to max battery life, I get another hour of battery life, but it runs slower than a netbook/really slow chromebook :/

My current options that I'm thinking of are the Thinkpad l440, the Thinkpad Yoga, and the IdeaPad yoga 2/pro

    Thinkpadl440
    http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/l-series/l440/
    Pros:
amazing battery life for its class
    pretty good performance
    backlit keyboard
    trackpoint
    Cons:
    heavyish
upgrades cost a lot (especially to fullHDscreens)

    ThinkpadYoga
    http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/yoga-series/yoga/
    Pros:
Awesome 360 degree flip 4 mode
    full HD screen
    magnesium alloy chassis
pretty good performance depending on setup
    backlit keyboard
    Trackpoint
    Cons:
EXPENSIVE! but I can get it for a lot cheaper at a place
Things you pay for are mostly things you can't see/don't notice

    Ideapad yoga2 PRO
    http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/yoga-laptop-series/yoga-laptop-2-pro/#features
    Pros:
Amazing 3k screen, but many websites and programs are designed to only go up to full HD
    nicer color options for laptop
    backlit keyboard
    Cons:
also expensive, but I know where to get refurb/scratch and dent
    more bloatware
    cheaper made than thinkpad
keyboard doesn't retract when in tablet mode :|
No trackpoint, but eh, with touchscreen, not much of a problem.

The ideapad yoga has upgrades mostly where you can see them and the thinkpad has them where you can't really see em. Also, I'm aware dell, HP, and asus all make yoga-like convertibles, but those will probably be cheaper made and have more bloatware.

Also, @Zeno78 as I can't really decide. I don't really need them to be powerful as I don't really game much and intel HD 4400 or 4600 will be way more than I need graphics wise xD

I say the ThinkPad L440 max customized. (Around $1400 not counting microsoft office stuff)

I can get the computer for a bit cheaper if I get an overstock refurbished or S&D computer :) so customizations will probably be on it.

The thing is, a new 9 cell genuine lenovo battery costs like 100$ (no, I'm not putting in a fake battery xD I don't plan on being covered in exploding laptop). I can get the same model with a less powerful processor on ebay for that price xD As of right now, it's not exactly worth upgrading cause it's a 3 year old laptop and even with a 9 cell, it would probably go up to about 4 hours which is acceptable, but not amazing
