Where to download 1.6.4

The new launcher will automatically update when you open it up.
You will need to change your user profile to use 1.6.4
It will be located above 1.6.2 and might be obscured so you cant immediately see it until you open the dropdown menu.

 

Well it's really as simple as opening up your vanilla minecraft launcher and in the bottom right hand corner will be a button saying 'New Profile', click this and in the little window that appears, Write in the name of the profile, I would go with something like "Minecraft 1.6.4", in the 'Profile Name' box then check the box next to 'Game Directory' and where it says 'Use Version' click the drop down box and select 'Use Latest Version', then click the save profile button at the bottom.
Once you have created the Profile back in the bottom left corner click the drop down box and select the profile you just created and then hit the big friendly play button. That should be it.

 

I am also having some issues with 1.6.4. I have the magic launcher and cannot see the "new profile" or, any of that. Do I need to download something else? Ty for helping

 

sparkly you need to first open 1.6.4 in the normal launcher so then ML will recognise it

 

Ok, I am probably sounding really stupid but.... How do I get to the normal ML o_o

 

i meant the actual launcher you get, the one you download from mojang/minecraft.net
