Ok I’m sorry to sound rude but someone has to explain this policy for me. I filed a grief report and forgot to mention the owner of one of the houses I wanted checked for grief. Well the owner of the house was the one to make the holes and such I thought was grief. It can’t be grief though because he owned the house. So this user gets banned for griefing his own house, and because I was stupid and forgot to mention he was the owner. After realizing this I talked to the mod who dealt with the grief report explained the mistake and asked for the user to be unbanned because he didn’t do anything. I was told that the user would have to make an appeal……..

Ok I get that’s the policy we have for banned users to get back on, but when it my fault he was banned and he never broke a rule how come he has to make an appeal. I can’t even explain what happened to the user because he is banned in-game and does not have a forums account to my knowledge. I guess what I’m asking is why can’t mistakes like these just be fixed without causing this user the grief and the hassle to figure out what happened and then make a ban appeal. Also what is that appeal going to look like? Reason for ban: my mayor is dork. Counter reason: I never did anything. Evidence: the fact my mayor made an topic wondering why I am banned.

ps. A mod should lock this after whatever answer I get is given

We just require him to appeal for administrative purposes, we like to keep track of what happens and if someone unbans him without an appeal (even if it's for a misunderstanding) then we won't what has happened.

Locked because the answer has been given.
