The server will remain in the current version until we are ready to update the entire server at once. In the past this process has taken as short as a few hours to as long as a few weeks. Andrew will usually give an ETA for how long the update process will take, but he has been known to be wrong with his ETA's before. Basically if you wish to keep playing ECC after the update comes out, don't update your minecraft until Andrew says the server has been updated. He will let us know via twitter or a message on the forum's news page, or both.
The server updates when everything (plugins) is updated. The update is not even out yet so there is nothing to worry about. Don't ask for ETA's though. Andrew sometimes, if ever, gives an ETA.
When the update comes out, ECC will stay at 1.4.7 for probably some time to work out the bugs and update all the plugins
not that rare because of the terrain it will expose alot of the quartz and im way exited for the sunlight detectors
The only thing good on thet update is the new redstone stuff! Will really help on building events and stuff
My friend (Dee22) requested me to build him a TNT Cannon. Before 1.5, it was gonna take approx 80x30x60 area (fully automatic, different range modes, etc.). Basically it would be HUGE. With the new update, I can build it in such a smaller space. Probably 30x20x15. And it will be 100% automatic. Since I'm a MAJOR red stoner, I'm gonna do a red stone project on ECC . More info to come soon. Here's the link to my cannon progress topic http://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/what-happens-when-im-bored-on-ecc.38591/
