(MODS, if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it)

So here is my dilemma: I currently have a town named 'the_defenders' and I have very few members with quite a few incomplete houses. I have thought of a few options as to what I should do, please comment or cast your vote in the poll below the number of which option I should go for.

    1) File a eviction notice and remove and LWC all my buildings and sell the town complete with a 50x50x5 pumpkin farm

    2) do the above but get rid of the pumpkin farm

    3) File an eviction notice and clear all buildings, leaving the pumpkin farm, and build pre-builts to sell

    4) Leave my town as it is and try to get more members!

    Thanks,

Personally, I think this would depend on two things; whether you are looking to be a successful town owner and sell plots, or whether you just want to make money off the town immediately.

If it's the latter, I recommend you go through Option 1. There's many people looking to buy flat towns (which I'm assuming your town is), especially if they have a decent sized farm. You wouldn't make a profit off your town, but you'd at least get some money for all the work you've put into it, and you would never have to worry about it again.

Now, if you're still motivated to be a successful Mayor and sell plots, I recommend a variation of Option 3. File an eviction notice and then restructure your town; redo your plots and main buildings so everything's ready when you reopen plot sales. Keep the pumpkin farm, that'd be a good motivator for other players to join your town, especially if you make it free for all town members. I don't think you need to make pre-built homes, but if you're interested in doing that, go for it! If you choose this option, make sure to check for inactive players frequently, and remove them from the town accordingly. The worst thing to do in a town is to let your members become inactive and do nothing about it; when others see that residents have been inactive for months at a time and are still in the town, they won't want to join/stay. Adding upon that, make sure you give a reason for your residents to remain active! Giving them purpose on the server will go a long way in making them want to continue coming on.

Hope this helps. I'd personally like to see you go with the 2nd option I gave, but it's your decision :). I wish you the best of luck with your town!

Thank you for your input @Falconaire it is much appreciated. In answer to your questions I would like to get a mix between both a profit and a successful town. Is there anyway you would be able to/like to help me/guide me along with it? I could add you as co-mayor and/or pay you if you wish!

    Thank you

@TaylorBros22 - Falcon has proven himself to be a fantastic town leader and has been quite successful with a prebuilt town among others I am sure and makes some valid points.
I personally do not like to think of selling towns, especially if it is one of the precious towns we truly "own". Selling perms to your pumpkin farm for a fair and reasonable price might provide you funds for additional projects in your town. I find that farm perms are far less demanding than towns.
One thing more along with what Falcon says about having active members is it is important to deal with grief immediately so that other town members feel comfortable that you will take care of them.
I know you can sell since you are doing a great job as co-mayor of Cybertron so it is just a matter of deciding what is best for you personally.
I appreciate you and believe in you.
    Wishing you success.
