I know this isn't a very important or big thing, but it may be important those who are concerned about their staff application. Is it... A) You can't bump for seven days between each bump AND between your thread post and first bump. Example: DFat applies for Moderator on Tuesday, but can't bump until the following Tuesday. B) You can't bump for seven days between each bump, but you can bump within seven days of your thread post. Example: DFat applies for Moderator on Tuesday, bumps it on Thursday, but can't bump until the following Thursday. Edit: This is all assuming that the bumps were made for either new information added or adding information that is off the first page. Most of the server would agree with me that this rule is confusing and should be revised. But what is your interpretation of the current rule?
C) You can't bump unless you are off the first page or you have added new information. In either case you have to wait 7 days before you can bump. E.G. You are the last thread on the first page and you haven't added new information and it has been 10 years since. You still CAN'T bump.
I wasn't clear about that. This is all assuming that you have either added information or your application is off the first page. They usually only use it once, unless you add new information. Bumping it is just a way to tell them that your application has been updated.
Unknownrider actually said to me that mods start at the last page, and go to the beginning, so bumping your thread is pointless unless you want other people to read it and comment on it, which will bump it even more...
I'm sure this is true, but the Staff Application section of the forums is one of the most exclusive section of the forums. It's not a matter of who's application gets read first, it's just that the rules need to be more clear. It doesn't matter what the rule is about, it's just important that they are clear and understood by the server.
