What do your moderators know?

Mcmmo party's are not something that a lot of people are familiar with on the server, I understand why people didn't know what they were, but I think it's a bit, well, I don't want to use the word cruel, bit I suppose that's what it is. I understand what you are trying to do here.

I'm not sure what this thread is supposed to be about? Of course the mods don't know everything. Plus, this is something that you can find out on the wiki. Also, for the ones who did not answer, They may have been helping someone else with grief or a complaint of some sort. I know that if I am actively helping someone who needs help with grief or a bug, I will not respond to questions that can be answered by googling or looking at the wiki. Questions like "How do I make a <itemname>?" can be easily googled, and questions like "How do I create a clan?" fall into that category. The mods are not all-knowing gurus of ECC, they are there to help with things like bans, bugs, and rule breakers.

I still don't really know much about the mcmmo party system, I can't even find a help command for it...

No, for most mcmmo things its /mcc, i do not believe that there is any other command to figure out stuff, but I will look into it


EDIT: /mcc gives all info for party's no need for a different command.

This is an interesting test - however, I feel that giving out each staff members name and telling them how they reacted/whatever is entirely unneeded - there could be a very large number of reasons why they didn't reply - and no mod can know everything about the server...it's good to know how many don't, but listing their names can give false opinions to somebody else about the staff member.

 

If I remember correctly, I got asked about two weeks ago.

 

I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to McMMO. You cannot really judge the overall knowledge of the staff team based off of one question.

 

Delucaco asked me how to do it.

 

I have no clue what the answer to that question is :/ If I answered it right, it means I asked in staff chat. Staff team is great because we can work together.

I know a lot about parties and bounties - but I know absolutely nothing about the Nether Star economy thing...it's simply what I was interested in and when...yes, one question does not help at all. Try asking a range of them, from economy, PvP, towns, etc...

 

Yes, I remember being asked the question, I had no idea about the party system myself. Im part of Jomickie's clan joined up at some stage but did not know how to communicate at the time that you asked the question. I've only recently learned how to use it because my chat was being bombarded too much on occasion by too much party chat, global, local and plain old pm's.

Ask me on something else and there is a good chance I can accurately answer your question to within some degree of accuracy.

 

Also adding onto what D0rc, Ryan, and trevalyn said - Parties is one of the worse questions you could judge a staff member on, this is very bias towards PvP players in specific, and most aren't pvp players, and have knowledge in McMmo parties and such. A more fair and reasonable question would be for example, "How do I rank up" or something more in depth.

 

Basicly saying all this in short "We are not a pvp server but a economy server you cant expect the mods to know all the commands for the pvp part, its just unfair"
