I'm not sure if you wanted written replies as well as a vote in the poll. However, in my opinion, I think that a town needs to be cleanly laid out and built around a central focal point. Something that can accommodate new people to the server as well as those who have been here for years I hope that this helps in some way

Sorry to keep posting here! But I also think that mostly it depends on what YOU want in your town Some people like their town set out as a grid, or some like their towns to be set out with a bit more randomness to it. Maybe try something with levels too. So you have a "ground floor" to the town where all the trading takes place etc, then have the next floor where all the house or farms are etc etc. I had to type this whilst it was in my head haha!
