Hey Andy, I was going around the houses in lakeside that were open to look at if there was any grief and checked to see if these chests here worked, Then i noticed the The Top Chest in the Middle was some error or somthing? Basicly what happens is if you try to open it your minecraft freezes and you get kicked of from the server. And The screen (for me) is blank. It's nothing, just a minecraft crash at that time, 90% of the time when i open a chest I crash the exact same way, it just happens to me more because of some unknown reason. Don't worry about it, if you somehow can't EVER open the chest even RIGHT after a restart, then I dunno.
have you tried reinstalling minecraft? if so, it could be problem within java or rarely an operation system problem (just assume it is java and reinstall it) if not, do that
I did reinstall Minecraft several times after it started, I think the problem might be having it as a steam shortcut, because I know steam hates Minecraft.
I also just got the most recent java update, for some reason I didn't have the most recent z.z hope this fixes it, I'll be crashing a lot less.
Lliam, I used to get that problem all the time on that computer (with the old harddrive, which I assumed was that...), so it isn't Steam. I never opened it on Steam back then. :b Updating java never fixed it, either.. I had to mess with settings in-game, and when multiple bugs were fixed (like that one where we had to craft REALLY SLOW), it went away. -shrugs-
