Allow people with the ExtCreations feature the ability to make [Warp] signs. A nice little extra complimentary feature to use. Can be used as a shortcut to typing in the actual command and or posted on a centralized bulletin in town world, for new members to use and learn from. One could also use it to advertise their warps and suggest others.
I'm not sure whether this should be added, but if anything, it can spruce up extcreations++, giving an incentive to get it.
This could possibly be an application in the mayors+ section? They could pay a set amount of money (maybe $30,000 sounds fair?) to create a warp sign to any warp on the server (for example you could create a warp sign leading to your spawnshop, another town you may own, etc.) Then again... Doesn't physically typing out the warp only take another like 5 seconds? Just a thought
Making it a town feature, sounds like too much administrative work, too expensive and not versatile enough. I e.g would like to use our Town Bulletin to recommend warps to other nice places or shops where they could e.g sell/buy their nStars or EXP. One could also use it to "Sell interactive ads" to other peoples shops or towns. Peoples favorite warps or suggested ones, change accordingly. Adding something like this to ExtCreations++, seems like a good idea. Thus adding another way to do business in ECC "both ways".
I'm a little bit confused... can't people just put their warp on a sign and have it advertised, even if it's not clickable? I'm not really seeing much use in this suggestion right now, it sounds like a lot of effort to code something that's unneeded
Well, just as there is no real "need" for colored signs, it still serves its function. Warp signs already exist, just need to allow people with a feature to use them. I can't really see the "a lot of effort to code" problem here. Also, ExtCreationsPlusPlus is obviously fade and awaiting more functions, at least according to ECC's own Wiki. I'm sure there are plenty of cool things that could be added. I'm sure this would be one of the easiest ones to add. Looking forward to more functions in ExtC++ soon.
literally nothing that's been suggested here requires any code, though. Adding it as an application feature means wiki changes, a form, a price, and permissions. Adding it to creations+ means wiki changes and permissions.
I actually loved this idea especially for the places that are big and confusing.. We have this system in the spawn area which I find very useful. Why not have it here too? So I'm saying definitely +1..
