Can mods give us a ten minute warnig before they use the /butcher command bacause some of us have farms and we want to be able to kill our animals for there exp and meat before they are just all killed.
I'd actually like to know what the mechanic is. I highly doubt that the mods decide to butcher. I believe it is automated and that may help users to understand when to kill off their animals just before a butcher. So, is it x number of animals in an area, is it total number of animlas on the server or is it butcher at x time each day?
In order to give a 10 minute warning we would have to know when the lag is going to start and we never know when that may be. When the server starts to experience lag we are required to use the /butcher command.
We use butcher; it isn't the server. There is not way to give a heads-up before using butcher unless we let the server continue to lag and get worse. My only suggestion to you is to move away from the chunks your animals are in if things start becoming laggy...or kill them off, which is a better solution. Leaving the area and letting us butcher might not kill your animals, but your hoards of animals could have been the lag problem in the first place. If I could spawn animals, I would be planning how many I bred to before I went and killed most of them. I'd also watch how many I can make before the server starts lagging. :b
