While voting on vote 4, after I clicked "Yes" to vote, it didn't go through. Instead, it read, "We have determined that you may be attempting to vote through a proxy."
I have no clue what a proxy may be.

I have gotten 6 every day since we got them all back. It is not a problem that we as a server can fix, it is more of a voting site error.

In plain terms, a proxy is using another server/computer to be the "middle man" between you and the end site.

If you were voting on your phone network, then this would 'interferre' with the voting sites tracking your IP (since the IP is issued by the cellular network and changes; so many other cellular subscribers use the same rotating IPs. The voting site can't determine if you have voted or not since so many other people use the same IP, so it just blocks any votes from that IP.

This would also be the case if you were trying to mask your IP by using a third party program.

Again, I am super-simplifying it, but this is basically the case. The voting site can't determine if are the only person using that IP and that it may be open to multiple others and being rotated around. It just doesn't believe it is "unique enough" for it to count.

Alright thanks for the explanation. Not sure anybody else uses my IP as I am the only one in my household that knows/plays minecraft. I appreciate helping me. :)

You should be fine, as nobody plays in your house. Since nobody does, nobody who plays MC should have the same ip
