Accepted [VMR Server Suggestion] Allow interaction with "rare" blocks

Yeah dealing with the silverfish spawner is a huge pain. This would definitely make VMR more vanilla-like!

There is nothing worse than coming across that damn silverfish spawner and realizing oh shit I forgot my tnt. You run away but you have 100 silverfish chasing after you. I cry every time.

I'm not sure at what point the placing blocks on 'rare' blocks changed since we used to be able to, but the fact that I have to carry a stack or two of gravel whenever I go mining in order to fill up lava because I can't place cobblestone directly onto bedrock is pretty annoying.... And dealing with spawners (blaze and silverfish especially) is beyond frustrating.. Don't run away fast enough and the TNT does enough damage to you that a passing zombie or skeleton can kill you.

 

Most rare blocks cannot be reobtained if you accidentally place them, thus why they aren’t placeable anymore. Maybe just making spawners placeable would be a better solution

 

This suggestion isn't so much asking to be able to place these 'rare blocks', but rather the ability to place blocks when directed towards these 'rare blocks'. I cannot place cobblestone when looking at bedrock for example due to the fact that you receive an error message (as bedrock is a 'rare block'), which is what Chundi is referring to I believe.

I have done the two suggestions you mentioned in the following ways:

Current changes:
Spawners cannot be placed, everything else is fine.
Bedroock cannot be placed, everything else is fine.

For further suggestions please make a new thread.
Everything else remains the same.

The reason I am not simply "allowing" all rare items is due to obvious things such as using a ton of keys, getting a ton of spawners, and placing them to farm certain items, etc.
