Felon Username: Kick_Me_1235Complaint: I rented an efficiency 7 pickaxe from Kick_Me_1235 on August 22nd, 2014. This user had me go through various steps to get the pickaxe, such as agreeing to his terms on the forums. We went through terms and conditions at least twice. I agreed to pay him 90,000 ecd for the use of his efficiency 7 pickaxe for a 24 hour period of time. We did this firstly here: http://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/contract.106547/#post-557890 After agreeing to it, he asked me (in local chat) if I agreed to the terms. I said I agreed. He took this screenshot of it: http://i.imgur.com/FeXNes3.png And he said he would give it to me after I paid him the 90,000 ecd. I paid him and within a minute, the pickaxe was in my possession. He asked if I set home there. I replied, yes and I will return it to you tomorrow. I left to mine my heart out. Today, August 23, 2014 I logged on to earn my money back. My internet was failing me, and to my loss, I couldn't get it back for hours. I would have patches of luck but I wasn't able to fix the problem until 9:30P.M. PST. I logged online to use the pickaxe for the time I had remaining and received a message from Kick_Me_1235. It was around 10:00PM and he asked me if he should file a complaint about his pickaxe. I didn't think much of it, having over a half hour left so I told him to do so if he wanted. I just wanted to mine without being disturbed. I told him he should have some sympathy, given my situation with my internet. He told me it wasn't his fault, I agreed to the terms. I agree, it wasn't his fault. I just thought that as a community of people, it would be kind to give someone sympathy, given how difficult it is making money on the server by just mining/farming. (That is, without star tools) In the half hour period before my time was up, I was both accused of scamming and called stupid. Why? I'm not sure why I was accused of scamming Kick_Me_1235. I agreed to return the pickaxe to his custody when my time was up and I planned on doing so. WHEN my time was up. There were other people who jumped onto his bandwagon, telling me how I'm wrong to scam. How I'll get banned for doing so. Especially someone who asked for sympathy for an issue and didn't reply in a hostile way. I said he lacked sympathy. That doesn't amount to him calling be stupid. Nor does it amount to the accusations of me scamming from people I don't even know. People were taking his side of the situation because I was supposedly scamming him, not returning his pickaxe in time. I never said I wouldn't return it in time. Not once. False accusations might cost me a deal with someone else later on. I don't want to be considered a scammer. In total so far, 52 people have read the complaint he filed against me.
Why am I even part of this complaint from what I saw you two were in an argument so I msged you to ask you to just give to pick back if you had scammed it then you were immediately very rude to me?
Then you said you were going to return the pick in at 10:57 it was 10:52 I then left you alone yet you acted as thogh I was out to get you or something? All I said to kick me in a pm was that you said you were going to return it in 5 mins. There was no reason to be so rude to someone who was trying to resolve a issue without problems.
I never mentioned you by name in this complaint. I filed a complaint against Kick_Me_1235 for accusing me of scamming and getting others to believe in that. I didn't blame you once in this post. This wasn't aimed at you. Also, the time I stated was 10:31pm. Not 10:52 or 10:57. I told you to leave me alone and you did. I didn't have a problem with that.
Then whats the point of the screenshots of our conversation? Also when kick me said that he was going to post a complaint responding with "there is still 30 mins left of the deal" it would of avoided a lot of confusion. And when I messaged you and asked if you could return the pick back I had seen the screenshots but did not look at the timestamps closely enough to see that there was still more time. That was my fault and should of payed attention to that. I had assumed that kick me would of only been calling scam if the dead line was well over.
Again, I didn't have time. I had a half hour to try and mine my money back. I was having internet issues today. This conversation between us should have been dropped an hour ago. You weren't part of the original conflict. I didn't file a complaint against you and it was my own decision just cause to put those screenshots in. Hold yourself accountable for what you say. I didn't say you were hostile towards me. Please leave this thread alone.
Hello @Cynthetix, I will be dealing with this complaint. Before we begin, has this issue already been resolved? I saw that @Kick_Me_1235 withdrew his complaint, and was wondering if you guys had worked this out in game. If not, we can proceed with the complaint. Thanks!
Sorry I was confused at what you were talking about. I got my eff7 back. Although I will tell you my side of the story. I allowed the user to use my eff7 for 24 hours as you may already know. When the 24 hours was up, I came online and asked for it back because I noticed it was not in the chest. (I apologize if it was a little early, I am absolutely terrible with times. I will refund you whatever you missed) After a few pms I was getting rather worried because I recieved no reply, therefore I thought I was scammed. I understand that you had internet problems but a deal is a deal, I apologize for the inconvenience. As for my actions towards you I apologize. I was getting rather mad because I was scammed a lot in the past, and I really didn't want it to happen again, therefore my actions slipped away from me. Just so everyone knows @Cynthetix is not a scammer, and hopefully never will be. I also wish to apologize to @Cynthetix for my actions towards her, and all other users whom I offended.
We hadn't worked it out until now, when I saw his apology on here. All that happened was I returned the pickaxe to the chest at the end of my 24hours and he said ty and left it at that. Before the comment below, I hadn't heard one statement from him stating that he was early, wrong, or falsely accused me. That being said, I think this conflict is now resolved. I just want Kick_Me_1235 to take responsibility for things like that. You have to deal with things professionally. Right off the bat, when I got online, you interrogated me about your pickaxe. I get it, it's a valuable item on the server but I've paid over $600 to support this server. I don't intend on breaking a rule. I even told you that when making the contract with you. That being said, I'm not making agreements or deals with you anymore.
One question before (if) you close this thread; Am I allowed to voice my opinion if he tries renting it again in trade?
No, there is no need to voice your opinion about him in game, as this would be classified as slander, no matter the method. This complaint will be sufficient for people to see, and that is enough. Can we lock this complaint now @Cynthetix?
