I can come online and see who took the rod, and you can message them and ask for it back. Unfortunately if you didn't /own the tool it's legally theirs, but if they won't give it back I can buy you a new one

Thanks for filing this complaint @jkcookiebro . Stealing items from unlocked chests is indeed rude, however it does not violate any server rules, even within a town. Did you use the /own command on your fishing rod? If so, you can contact one of the Server Admins with the /own ID code and they could track the tool, however if you did not use that command there isn't much we can do unfortunately. Additionally, without any evidence it is difficult to investigate if any rule-breaking, in the future you can use the F2 key to take screenshots and upload those images to imgur.com to put them on the forums in order to provide evidence with a user complaint.
