    You can't update if you want to play on the server, no.
    If you want to play the most recent version, the only way to come back on the server before the server updates is to back up your 1.8.1 .minecraft folder located in %appdata%

    Juan, you must downgrade using a Downgrader program, and downgrade it, read AndrewKm post on this Map and stuff change.
