Minecraft Username: yavanna12 Brief Description: When trying to place any blocks on bedrock get the following message: "Use "/sell hand" to add rare items to your booklet" Instructions: Place any block directly on bedrock How many times did you recreate this?: A dozen times in nether and in overworld Result: Can not place any blocks on bedrock Expected Result: Place blocks on bedrock Evidence: I didn't take a screenshot
Oh....I think I get the confusion @PyroTechnix_ and @andrewkm . I don't mean bedrock as in the platform to play Minecraft on. But bedrock as in the block in the game. I am on Java. I also couldn't place torches on spawners. This happened a few years ago with end portals too so I couldn't go to the end. Here is my video:
Honestly, it feels like it's the same issue as the grass path in the past where it is blocked from being placed for sake of keeping the rares from being placed/used, but as a side effect, it cannot be broken or interacted with in the wild
Bedrock users can place/break on VMR just fine, it looks like the bug report is addressing the interactions with the bedrock block. It is indeed blocked from placing/breaking due to it being a Rare Crate block and the restrictions we have in place. So this is a side-effect of that, not a true bug.
Thanks for explaining further. I've now fixed this, you should be able to place regular blocks on bedrock blocks just fine.
This is reported as not fixed. Source: @yavanna12 This appears to be fixed on my end, sorry for the confusion.
I have not checked yet. Was just casually mentioning in chat that it was a bug I reported but I worded it poorly so it was misunderstood as me playing on bedrock. I mentioned in chat I was going to check this weekend when not as work.
