Minecraft Username: Riggs316 Brief Description: I am unable to pick up items that are on the ground. I have multiple empty spots in my inventory, I have no itemfilter set, and I am on 1.16.5. This issue arose after the maintenance/restarts earlier. Instructions: Drop an item on the ground or break a block, and walk over the item on the ground. The item stays there, and does not pop into inventory. How many times did you recreate this?: Multiple times on the main, main north, and main east servers. Result: Item stays on ground, and ends up being eaten by butcher. Expected Result: To be able to pick up items and have them in inventory. Evidence:
Update: it seems to only be an issue when in vanish. Tested on main, main north, and main east that you cannot pick up an item while vanished. If you unvanish while next to an item, it will immediately be picked up as normal.
Having this same issue. There used to be an issue where sometimes if you got kicked or changed servers when you came back you couldnt pick up items while vanished but if you turned off the item filter and unvanished and then re logged it fixed it. Now its just impossible to pick up items while vanished. Cant figure out a fix. This is a huge problem as I like to do most of my grinding while vanished.
This happens to me too, I honestly thought it was something wrong with my account as I had a certain command enabled as GameAdmin and I assumed it had somehow glitched on. But if other players are having this issue then I suppose it's a bug.
Same here when in /v... My fish just stayed floating.... Did /v go unvanish and immediately was able to pick them up
While revamping our vanish system in the past couple days, we forgot to properly introduce a new feature. You can now toggle your item pickup abilities using the /v tipu command. Vanish currently defaults to pickup being disabled, however once you enable it, your value should be saved across the entire network (assuming you have vanish available on the server you're on). This means you will never have to toggle it again, unless you want to of course. In the future we will work on making the default true on user creation, this is a minor bug with the database entries.
