I had an idea for a company. What if a group would buy plots in new towns for cheap, build nice houses on them, and then sell them off for profit? I don't know if there's already a group who does this. If there isn't, would anyone be interested in starting a company of this sort with me, or investing?

The small problems i could see with said company, is that there is a small market in buying prebuilts, the only people that really buy em are mayors/presidents that want a 50x50 mansion. The other problem is that some mayors don't allow you to resell plots unless your a co-mayor. If your not co-mayor then you can't add people to the town. Although if your interested in joining a company, Matberry runs Pontvert, a good woodcutting company, I'd definitely suggest them, or if you want some awesome stuff, jjustin0357 runs The Netherstar Company, you get netherstar stuff faster, I'd also definitely suggest them.
The pre-built market is sadly ever-diminishing. Alongside mudkiqo_o, Cookietown Town Authority has struggled to sell three pre-builts in its short history. Generally, it's the large pre-builts that are sold more efficiently. The reason for the low demand in the pre-built industry is due to the ability to buy any plot of land and build whatever you like it in most residential towns. I'd like to see a change in the industry, though, and a revolution of pre-builts. Vive la revolution?

I have a company like that, but I just started it yesterday. It consists of turning abandoned, griefed buildings into nice homes. My town that I'm still making also only sells prebuilts, but in an interesting way. So long story short, I love making prebuilts.
