Thread Title: Trade Chat color change. Minecraft Name: 0oAlano0 Suggestion: Well for Trade Chat's color to be changed to something more noticeable Reason: Well Trade Chat is the chat channel used to selling/buying and trading ECC items. This is the most or almost the most used channel on all of ECC. By saying this, I state that the chat channels color should be something noticeable such as a brighter color. Grey is hardly seen with everyone in other channels talking, its commonly missed. If this channel had a better color more people would get the service they want, thus creating less confusion and better business. Other Information: I have nothing else to really say except that this may be a better change to the server, no disrespect. Link to this plugin: I have no link to such a plug-in. (The server already has the colors, just needs to be modified.)
NO, IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREY YOU CAN'T CHANGE IT TO ANYTHING!!! I HAVE BEEN ON THIS SERVER FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND A HALF AND FROM ALL I CAN REMEMBER TRADE CHAT HAS BEEN GREY!!!!!!!!! DO NOT CHANGE IT OR ELSE!!!!!!! I DO NOT LIKE THIS IDEA -1
I personally like the gray. Also, it is not incredibly noticeable and is good with all the adds going on. I can look when I want but done have some obnoxious pink jumping out at me. Also I am used to the gray. So -1 from me.
Gonna give you a -1 No one wants that much chat to burn their eyes. in addition, if you want a bright advertisement, use the /shout feature.
Yes true Rabid, but then I would be wasting 1k and also have to make that back thus making less money. Truly we all may be used to the chat colors we have now. But also we have changed from light green to dark green in donator chat, something we all would have to get used to or even something a bit brighter than that grey would help plenty. Just something to make it more noticeable then grey not like this orange with color changing symbols near it just to make it stand out.
Also DiamondvsGold, I have been on this server for just as long as you have, stating that you've been on here longer than other players has no meaning in this topic as to color change. As to what I told Rabid, like it or not if it gets added it's added and you will just have to deal with it like the rest of ECC will have to. Sorry not trying to sound rude.
I actually prefer trade to be easily ignored. Most of the time i don't need something, i don't need anything at all, no water placements, no grief to investigate, i just don't need anything from anyone else. So i just ignore trade. Then there's that time, uh oh, i need water placement, i need a tp, i need anvil, ect. Then i read trade chat. Think of trade chat as the kitchen sink. If your not thirsty for a glass of water, you leave the sink off, you don't leave it running. Then when you get thirsty, you go to the sink and turn it on to get your glass of water. When your done, you turn it off again. You can spam your advertisement a million billion times in my face, but unless i need what your advertising, I'm not gonna use it. Just like trade channel. Just because 50 more people that don't need what your advertising see the ad, it doesn't mean you'll get more sales.
Actually that is a plus in selling things. Better more decorative things such as a brighter color will make people wanna buy it. And Jason about the spamming part, thats when staff should actually do their job as staff and fix that, it makes no difference as to what we are dealing with on ECC now. If you don't like it oh well, if you do good. It's not a 100% yes that this will be passed into consideration by the admins. But yes Jason I totally understand what you mean none of us like getting/seeing spam by everyone in trade chat, but as said its a suggestion not a change.

You seem to think that everything shall go forward and if you don't like it, tough luck. Just because you think that your idea is a good one, that doesn't make it good one (this is applying to everyone). And truth be told, I don't really like trade channel anymore. I don't use it because of the horrible 3-5 minute rule now. Trade and global have to be the most used channels on ECC, making one of them a bright color is not a good idea. If someone wants something, they can watch trade, if they don't, don't force it on them. The only reason I'd vote for this idea is if non-donators could leave trade. As i would leave the giant glowing bright trade forever until i actually needed a donation feature/other item.
Because you didn't donate. Donators can leave global, auction, and trade. Just another reason to convince people to donate, that's all.
wasting 1k is what andrew wants lol. the economy is inflated as it is, sending more money to something other than a player is highly beneficial for the server. and again, like Jason1964 said, trade chat should be easily ignorable. it woul dhonestly make myself (and probably quite a few others) mad enough at it to actually /ch leave trade, resulting in less economy interaction.
