I believe that TPA should be given to all players with a cooldown of 15 minutes or so as I see many people have to ask in chat just to get a single builder into their town. I also believe that as it is a basic command that most users are used to from other serivers so I feel like giving everyone tpa with a long cooldown would help builders and preserve the value of buying tpa etc..
Either -1 or much longer cooldown. Tpa is more expensive than water, there for it should have a bigger insentive to get it, and plus, I have tpa and I use it less than every 15 min. Mabye 1 tpa every hour or so? Still, im against this idea
ahhh all my money is going away because of these features made free! I could've spent that £10 4 years ago! Now if this happens I could've spent that £15 the other month! -1 sorry. Just don't want my money to have been wasted.
Whilst once per 15 is too short, once per 12 hours is a bit extreme. Perhaps once per hour is a good timing.
tbh it's kind of sickening to see that "I don't want my money to have been wasted" is the primary reason against this suggestion. If we're not going to let things change for the better because our own experiences were harder, why even have this forum?! There's literally no actual logical reasoning against this. Just "It should be as hard for new players now as it was for me", except on a matter that changing will do nothing but improve our server. It's multiplayer, and people like playing multiplayer with their friends, which is nearly impossible without teleport. Teleport shouldn't be an incentive to spend ecodollars, it's a utility. A utility that's so commonly available it's perhaps the single most thing I've seen builders go "why can't I do this?", even moreso than water. I don't get why we want to keep a barrier in the way of such a simple tool just because that barrier was there for us. Why are we spending time trying to improve the server if on the most trivial of improvements we go "no, this was harder for me". We can make this better for almost every new player who joins the server, and it literally doesn't affect anyone negatively. I spent the money on the feature, too! It was actually my first one! I get exactly the same thing out of it whether or not new players can use it. I don't see the point in standing in the way of progress just so money I've long since spent can be "worth" a little more. This isn't a cool exclusive feature. This isn't something that breaks the game. This isn't something that makes money. It's literally just a utility that's available from the start on a lot of servers already! Why can't we make things better? (pardon my rant)
This has completely convinced me that this suggestion would be good. 15-30 minutes is fair to all players and doesn't really hurt people with TP too much. +6.
A 15 minute cool down timer seems quite reasonable, this would definitely help out new builder and residents. Basically the entire time I am played here and especially when I was on the staff I notice a lot of user ask for a tp here, a tp there, or tp me to my friends please. Since the feature no longer costs real money I do not see a problem with giving it, like water, to new players on a cool down to help them out and give them a reason to stay. +1
Most video games that have a teleport feature don't make it exclusive. If it's semi-exclusive (cooldown from 30min-1hr) I'd support it. It also makes sense.. Basic: 30 minute cooldown 1st Upgrade: 30 second cooldown (I think that's what it is?) 2nd Upgrade: No cooldown
If you are referring to tpa and tpa+ its 30 to none to coords Anyways, I think that one/hour (maybe 2) should be good
The server keeps getting easier and easier over the years. Back when I first started it was difficult to even get the money to pay for features. I know the EULA changes alot of things but come on. The server is turning from "Hardcore Economy Server" to "Semi-Vanilla Economy Server"
After reading everyone responses, I completely agree that a much longer cooldown would be a better idea.
