Username: @nikalsaki Item Selling: Presidency of the Town of Seaview (explained below) Quantity of this item: One General Information about this item: So I'm going to be inactive for a while as I now have a job and my band is starting to gain a bit of momentum. Obviously, I cannot work as many hours as I want while also jamming as much as I want while also exercising my authority as founder and owner of my town here on ECC. And, as ECC is the only thing not directly pertaining to real life, I've decided it's time to back off ECC without completely quitting. So the Presidency. Basically what that is is you have all the powers that I do (selling plots, building prebuilts, evicting users, shredding the town's Constitution although it's highly recommended you don't do that, etc etc etc) except I can override you on basically anything. Again, as I'm going to be on ECC a lot less, I really don't have the time to override you on everything. The only things I'd probably override you on is if you gave a town member a three day notice of eviction for basically no reason whatsoever. The only things the President (i.e. the person who has offered the amount of money I want and I deem fit for the role) really can't do are things that the ECC Server Rules state only the Official Mayor (i.e. myself) can do as well as adding or removing town owners. Details The town is 200x200. Cobblestone borders. One of the cobblestone borders was intentionally removed as the town directly borders another town and the two towns are highly cooperative and are really more like two neighbourhoods of the same town. Not sure how many members. I know it's less than 30 because we do not have a whole lot of plots because the town is like 70% water (and I hereby forbid the person I select as President from adding land by taking away from the water; the landscape is highly natural and it's staying that way). The town includes a sub-town called Fishview. By official ECC server classification, it's not its own town. The town is within the borders of Seaview. However, I treat Fishview with the highest level of autonomy possible. Fishview even has its own mayor (@edge150). Though I treat Fishview with the highest level of autonomy possible, it is still subject to things I declare as the Mayor of Seaview (Fishview is not subject to things the President of Seaview declares) as well as things the View County (there are like three or four towns--including Seaview and Fishview--that border each other and have names ending in "-view" so we call it View County, though that is not official) Chamber of Commerce declares. Stuff that directly pertains to the sale Price: Asking ECD182,500 firm. I'm not asking for higher than ECD182,500, but if you pay me more than that, I'm sure not denying the extra money (unless the mods ask me to deny the extra money). Offers: In the case that multiple people offer the necessary funds in exchange for the Presidency (which I find said occurrence to be almost imperative), I will conduct a thorough evaluation of all offerees (in accordance with ECC Server Rules, of course) and decide which offeree would be the best President. The ECD182,500 need not be paid unless I have selected a President. In that case, only the President would be due the ECD182,500. I say that because if I accepted your money before I made the decision on who becomes President, that would technically be in violation of the rule that bans player-run lotteries or anything else that requires a buy-in, regardless of whether I had intentions on paying the money back to those not selected. Also, bribery will get you nowhere. If you pm me saying something like "here's x amount of money for you to sell me the presidency" and then you give me that amount of money, you're helping yourself in a total of zero ways because I'm just going to say to myself irl "sweet free money!" and then it may actually hurt you as it's a pretty poor decision to try and bribe me even after I wrote this entire paragraph on how I don't take bribes and I'd rather not sell the Presidency to someone who makes decisions as poor as that. Contract: Once I have selected the President of Seaview but prior to the transfer of the ECD182,500, the chosen offeree must sign a contract that will be posted in the Contracts section when we get to that point. For clarification, I will not accept the money of the one I have chosen until they have signed a contract that will be posted when needed. If you would like me to sell the Presidency to you, do all of the following: 1. Have ECD182,500 (I recommend putting the money into a single sign or possibly your bank so that you aren't tempted to spend it and thus not have ECD182,500) 2. Post the following below: Code: [b]Username[/b]: <your username> [b]Amount[/b]: <amount you're offering; EC$182,500 minimum; exceeding the minimum does not boost your shot at getting the Presidency as I don't take bribes> [b]Is your rank equal to or higher than resident?[/b] <yes or no; I'd rather not sell the town to builders> The following steps are to be ignored until I have chosen who I'm selling the Presidency to; even then, the following steps are to be ignored by people other than the person I choose to sell the Presidency to. 3. Agree to said contract 4. Pay the $182,500 5. Be President of Seaview I encourage anyone who has any questions to either post them below or to forum PM me. In-game PM'ing me will probably get you nowhere as I wouldn't be selling the Presidency if I was online enough for an in-game PM to be effective.
