I was wonderin whr do u go to start main ur town in the wild whr I have no idea whr I'm going to start preparing it for when I get mayor but I have no idea whr u go for it? To mark out the 200x200 Piece of land
I would just make sure you're in either Rising or Legacy, then do /wild until you find a nice spot that you like. Rising will have more free land and 1.7 biomes. Legacy has older towns. Remember you can do /getpos to find what world you're in.
@drodude Go to the legacy or rising worlds. do "/getpos" to make sure what world you are in. Do "/wild land" and browse for a generally nice area. --> This <-- is the mayor application guidelines. You need to zone a town, make sure that the boundaries are at least 15 blocks away from all other towns. You need to place 4 corner posts of the town. Get/make 4 signs. I suggest preparing a thread for the mayor application, and fill it out as you place town posts. When you have a good starting place, place down a sign, write "Post A, Town name" , do "/getpos" -- it will list you your current coordinates, write those coordinates in you application. Minecraft coordinates are a little funny, heres a diagram Press F3 to enable some info to appear in the top left of your screen. You will notice that it shows whether you are facing North, South, East, West. From Post A, face another direction, and add or subtract 199 blocks from the "/getpos" coordinates of post A. Then looking at the integers between the parentheses in F3, walk to that direction. For example, if post A is at X 100, Z -150. If you want to go east, add 199 to X to, the next post is at X 299 Z-150, walk to those coordinates while watching the F3 integers between the parentheses ( ). Do "/getpos" to make sure you are right, then plop down Post B. Now you go South, so that is the Z axis. You need to Add 199, so you need to go to X 299, Z49. Plop down Post C. Now go west. West is on X axis, subtract 199 from X, so you need to walk to X100, Z49. Plop down Post D. Now, if you did this right, you should be able to walk back north, and in 199 blocks, you should hit your Post A, and you've successfully made a square.
