The ability to remove all locks from a town at once.

This would be for use after a Town Eviction notice. After placing a legitimate town eviction (tagged/mailed), and after the week is up, the mayor can apply for the Mass LWC. The application (in Staff Requests) would look like this:
A supermod+ then replies to schedule a time and perhaps time frame (so that a disorganized mayor doesn't waste the mod's time). When the time comes, the mod teleports to the mayor, and the mayor takes the mod through the town to all the locks. Once the mod leaves, any missed locks must be taken care of normally: only one mass LWC per town eviction.

    Pros:
    • Keeps down spam on the staff requests forum.
    • Allows for faster lock removal from an evicted town, since the mayor has already searched the town.
    Cons:
    • The mod has to stay sharp to be sure that the original owner's locks are not sneakily removed through this.
Perhaps we could also have something similar for trade signs. That's a different discussion.
Please discuss. Also, "This would take too much of a mod's time" is invalid because they'd have to spend more time going through 15+ normal LWC requests.

Unknownrider was in shoutbox when I first postulated this idea; I believe he would like to provide counter arguments.

That would be last 3 days not 7.

Forum eviction threads are required to have 7 days of notice.

For a single user being removed from a town... 3 days notice.
For a whole town eviction... 7 days notice.

There is nothing stopping any mayor from putting a set of co-ords for a plot, to remove all LWC items from that plot (provided they are not the original mayor's). This is handy for clusters of items. But, if everything is spread out, then the individual co-ords are needed.

The staff do not moderate by appointment. Not all staff are online at the same time every day.

I find the suggestion of booking LWC removals in order to escort a mod around to be entirely impractical. In the time what you have proposed would take to complete, you could have filed the co-ords and had the locks removed by the first avail S.Mod+.

Probably. But it'd be less trouble with the threads. Even just 15 users take a long time, and that's not many.

I like our existing format just fine. Who better to know than a mods who has processed them?

I feel I must agree with Kmaxwell. Considering how many LWCs we do in a day, if a player was putting times on their LWC that they could be there, then we'd need to find a staff member who was on at that time, book them to do an LWC at that time. etc.

To be honest, it might be easier on you to do it this way, but you are 1 person out of 20 filing an LWC at that time. Whereas I am the 1 staff member doing those 20 LWCs at that time. It might be more time consuming for you to write down all the cords, but the staff are the ones who are dedicating 1-2 hours a day of their time to do everyone's LWCs.

So in conclusion, it probably is annoying for you, but this would frustrate staff even more to have 20 players 'scheduling' times for us to come and do their LWCs. It is far more practical to just let us do it whenever we have time. You post the LWC when you have time to post it and we do it when we have time to do it.

Yeah, I probably agree with you now. I posted this right after 15 threads and I still have more :D
