So, I've hit three thousand posts as of the posting of this thread. A lot has changed since my two thousandth post. Most importantly, the hub has been created. But today was probably an even more important day than that. We, as a community, united together and increased our player count by 25-30 throughout the entire day. We even beat H****** to become #1 on the voting website! Our community is amazing. If we keep this up, we can only get bigger. Big things are ahead for ECC, and I'm glad that I played a role in them happening. Still, I've never given money to ECC, or bought any features. And that's because of a simple reason. I don't want to play with any perks, benefits, or features bought with money. I want to play legitimately, and do the absolute best I can at it. Whether that's by making money, or rating forum posts, or helping out new players in game - I'm glad to have had the opportunity to do so much here. I've certainly made mistakes. All people do. But in the end, all I've wanted was to see ECC as a vibrant, unstoppable community that cannot be fazed by anything that stands in its way. And after today, I realize that it is. We aren't perfect. There's a lot of things that we could fix on here. SG, for starters, could use some improvements. I'm going to end this post with a quote, from a thread that was very important to me back when I was a Mayor. Keep in mind, this quote also comes from a permabanned user who was an admin on a competing server. Even though it tore apart my movement for Mayors, it united many other people who were higher ranks than I was. And to me, it symbolizes just how much many people, like myself, are devoted to ECC.
Woah.... That's just... Awesome. Sorry, I need a better word then that, but none comes to mind. Congrats!
