    Ask a moderator to lock it, either write on the thread"LOCK" or for a quicker lock change the title to "LOCK"

    Saying lock doesn't instantly lock your thread. Why happens is you ask for the thread to be locked when a moderator comes along and sees it they'll lock it for you.
