So with the addition of the /own command people will be requesting that a player transfer item ownership to them while trading. However what happens if you kill someone and take their stuff in PvP. Armor weapons ect. Would this be a problem with ownership as the player who died still owns the items. It would happen almost never as no one uses PvP but it could still possibly be a problem.
If you die whilst holding items /own'ed by yourself, the ownership is wiped. (Note: Unique ID remains, but the names are cleared and someone else can /own). This covers PvP like in your question If you die holding someone else's /own'ed items, then the ownership isn't wiped. This is to prevent scamming and illegal removal of ownership. I would like to take the opportunity to say that if anyone is found to abuse the first scenario (Eg. Killing someone in a non-pvp world to wipe their ownership of an eff 7 etc) we can and will trace the item and you will be banned.
We're right now discussing a /own remove command, currently awaiting final testing by andrew. It'll have the same effect as dying with the item
This applies to this case as well since this is simply trolling and has no relevance to the main thread. Please refrain from doing this in the future.
