.The Nation of The Zodiac. It is believed that many hundreds of years ago, the first men stepped foot on this world, and together they founded the 12 tribes. Though these tribes eventually went their separate ways, spreading out across the world, each forming diverse cultures and societies, their paths would eventually cross once more. After many years of wars and turmoil, the 12 tribes came together once more under the contract of The Zodiac. Ruled by The Quorum, with each colony having one elected delegate to represent them, the alliance ensures peace and safe trade between the colonies, and their citizens. Though the treaty ensures peace, ancient rivalries remain, and the alliance is in a constant power struggle. With each colony having very different ideologies and backgrounds, some preferring innovation whilst others preferring tradition, some wanting equality and others wanting dominance, some fear that the delicate alliance could soon break... Informally known as 'Zodiac Station', or simply 'The Hub', Colonial-1 is the centre of the zodiac nation. A feat of colonial engineering - much of which invented by the colony of Canceron - Colonial-1 is a specially constructed political station, allowing easy transportation between the 12 colonies. A political neutral entity, Colonial-1 was born out of recent political turmoil between members of the alliance, and allows for a safe, neutral meeting place for the members of the ruling Quorum. .Gemenon. Gemenon - 'The Jewel of the Southern Sea'. Well known for its beauty, with it's parks and canals, Gemenon holds onto the past and tradition. Whilst the city lives a fairly secluded life, attracting few visitors or attention, the city is well known for it's yearly seasonal markets, attended by people from all corners of the world. Gemenon often avoids political conflict, remaining neutral to most matters; a tactic which has allowed it to pass through history with relatively few troubles. Although it somewhat distances itself from the other colonies, especially those who have moved away from tradition, it keeps close ties to it's sister city, Virgon. Once capital of The Virgon Empire, the city of Virgon is now all that remains of this once great nation. A highly exclusive society, citizens of Virgon are amongst the wealthiest in all of the land. Once home to an ancient monarchy, Virgon remains the only colony within the zodiac to elect their quorum delegates based on ancestry - a fact which remains highly controversial to many. The city is well known for it's upper society gatherings, often hosted at the Virgon Palace, itself an elaborate structure and display of extreme wealth on behalf of it's constructors. Visitors to the city are invited to explore the expansive palace gardens; a tranquil spot to relax in the afternoon heat. One of the largest colonies, this land was once a jungle paradise sprawling over a small island chain. Whilst little remains of the original settlement, the Capricans have, over time, transformed this land into a bustling metropolis. Visitors will find the occasional reminder of what this land was once like hidden within the city, with ancient landmarks scattered throughout the islands, such as the Tomb of Athena, or the partial remains of the ancient city walls. Unlike Gemenon and Virgon, Caprica has embraced innovations and technology, emerging as one of the leading cities in trade and property. The city is also famous for its excellent transportation systems, with its state of the art underground rail network, public roads, and major port, home to the famous luxury passenger ship, 'The Titanic'. Often regarded as the cultural centre of the Zodiac, Caprica is home to many museums and art galleries. Patron: Apollo: The Lord of Light, Music, and Art. Caprica Town Thread: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/caprica.46817/ .Scorpia. Celebrated for it's art, culture, and of course it's wine, The Hills of Scorpia is arguably one of the most picturesque of the colonies. Its' glorious sea-view villas, nestled among the busy vineyards and marketplaces, offer all of it's visitors a unique luxury experience, acting as a perfect summer getaway for the rich. Whilst many of it's permanent residents are known for paying a hefty price for their very own estates, the town is also renowned for attracting crowds of all social classes, which flock every year to view it's many attractive sights. Patron: Dionysus: The Lord of Wine. Scorpia Town Thread: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/scorpia.89827/ .Picon. Once a small fishing village, Picon prospered in the aftermath of The Great Flood, which all but destroyed the great neighboring city of Aerilion. Built upon the city's sunken ruins, Picon has adapted to it's new environment; covering both what little land remains, and the ocean itself. Though dismissed as pirates by some, today the city of Picon boasts the busiest port and the largest armada in The Zodiac. One of the most controversial colonies, some fear Picon's growing influence within the alliance. Patron: Poseidon: The Lord of The Sea Picon Town Thread: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/picon.84876/ .Aerilion. It is said that Aerilion's roads were made of diamonds and buildings of quartz. Despite once being the most beautiful and ornate city in The Zodiac, what remains of the city today is a distant reminder of times past. With it's city ruined and it's populous decimated by The Great Flood, the people of Aerilion rebuilt, not from the ground, but from the sky. Built around 'The Citadel', a reconstruction of the colony's original parliament building, many describe today's Aerilion as more of a 'monument' than a fully functioning city. Still home to a few permanent residents, the people of Aerilion are often described as 'cold', and are known for their hatred of Picon, and their debt to Caprica, who were instrumental in funding the reconstruction of the city. Patron: Aphrodite: Goddess of Beauty Aerilion Town Thread: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/aerilion.89221/ .Tauron. After years of enslavement by Virgon, Tauron liberated itself from Virgon's rule 100's of years ago, a fact still celebrated today in the yearly 'midsummer festival'. Whilst originally a farming colony, Virgon's influence - and Tauron's eventual independence - has allowed it to grow into one of the lands most prosperous trade hubs. Despite it's recent rise in wealth, Tauron has not completely abandoned it's roots, and even today remains a popular figure among the poorer colonies. Whilst Tauron gained it's independence, the colony has been plagued ever since with a constant power struggle between it's elected government, and a criminal organisation known as the ha'la'tha. Though unseen for years, many believe the ha'la'tha to have a strong influence in the running of the city even today, and many others fear their return. Patron: Demeter: The Lord of Harvest Tauron Town Thread: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/tauron.84438/ .Sagittarion. Though Sagittarions are trusting and non confrontational by nature, this has often left them easy targets. Known as the 'the worker colony', Sagittarion is the poorest of the 12 colonies. Like Tauron, Sagittarion too fell to the Virgon Empire, however, since it's liberation it has faced years of exploitation from other colonies. The primary supplier of resources for the 12 colonies, Sagittarion is defined by it's fields of grain, great forests of oak, and many mines. Whilst many look down upon the people of Sagittarion, seeing them as simple, uncultured people, it is a well known fact that life in the Zodiac could not function without them. Patron: Hephaestus: Lord of the forge. Sagittarion Town Thread: .Leonis. Known derogatively as 'The colony of war', Leonis is infamous for their ruthlessness. A land once rich in minerals and ores, Leonis achieved military dominance by turning these ores into weapons, and by integrating their military lifestyle into every aspect of society. Though for centuries their military power remained unmatched, eventually, the ores that ensured their dominance ran out. No longer able to sustain the military empire that they had built around them, their enemies quickly broke them - destroying their cities, and poisoning their lands. No longer able to survive on the surface, the remaining populous retreated to a series of underground bunkers, and from there have slowly recovered. With Picon's help, Leonis has gradually begun to remerge as a military power, becoming the primary supplier of troops and military machinery to the Zodiac army. Despite officially having been accepted into the Zodiac Alliance, having it's own elected quorum delegate, to this day many argue that Leonis is more of a vassal state to Picon than it's own political entity, and some fear their combined power within the alliance. Patron: Ares: The Lord of War Leonis Town Thread: .Libran. Libran is a land of knowledge and order, and the founders of the Zodiac Nation. Known as 'the heart of the Zodiac', it was Libran whom first bought together the alliance, enforcing rules through the signing of the treaty of the zodiac; a fact that Libran citizens boast with pride. Generally seen as a politically neutral entity - ensuring peace between the other colonies as opposed to taking sides on important matters - Libran is often viewed as the thread that stops the delicate alliance from breaking. With many of the Zodiac's top schools and academies within it's city, only the best intellectual minds are permitted to train here, resulting in the majority of it's populous being made up of scholars, lawyers, and philosophers. Patron: Hermes: The Messenger, and Lord of Knowledge. Libran Town Thread: .Canceron. Known as 'The city of innovation', Canceron is famous for it's technological breakthroughs, many of which have transformed the way of life within the alliance. Responsible for the technology used in reconstruction of Aerilion, and more recently Colonial 1, Canceron has long been a rival of Caprica's technological dominance within the alliance, and with the recent political turmoil, Canceron is quickly becoming the go-to colony for anything technological. Though many tend to overlook Canceron, often considering it's people dull or simply too preoccupied with their work to get involved in political matters, their influence within the alliance is slowly growing... Patron: Athena: Goddess of Reason, Intellect, and Arts. Canceron Town Thread: .Aquarion. Hundreds of years ago, when the great flood hit the land, Aquarion was feared lost forever. Sunken to the bottom of the ocean, the city laid untouched for years, until the Aquarions returned and took back their city. Known as 'The forgotten kingdom', Aquarion today consists of a number of specially constructed underwater domes, protecting what remains of the original Aqaurion settlement. Welcome my new co-mayor Joliver1998 to The Zodiac Jol will be handling the towns whilst I'm not in game, so talk to him about joining today!
No, we don't. I'm not sure when it'll be purchased, but you can ask one of the four co-owners of Scorpia for a tp there.
As the main collaborator for JUST Scorpia, I can tell everyone here that we will have a portal ASAP, and the first property will be available soon. Donors would be greatly appreciated. We may need donors for the features such as portal and high-quality monuments. If donors contribute enough $$, you may even have your own monument, which you can pick out and we build for you to either live in or marvel at. Please feel free to contact me whenever and wherever you want. Thanks to all, - Cal.
An Update on Scorpia: We are about to have our first property available in possibly the best location of the town; as it overlooks the town square from a hill. If you'd be interested in this Mansion, please let me know. Also, we are trying to reach a donation goal of 100k and are 55k of the way there, so we need your help. The donations will help to cover our expenses and make Scorpia the "place to be". If you can help us reach our goal in any way, please contact any of us in game. Thanks again!
