THE MAYOR FOUNDATION

I don't mean any offense, but I see a lot of posts like this, you're essentially just asking for money. Plain and simple. Getting Mayor is meant to be a hurdle, a challenge that only those who are actually dedicated to ECC will pass. If you can't muster the determination to make 85k on your own, how can you be expected to manage your town? Not only will you be responsible for yourself, but for other players as well. My suggestion to you is to farm, mine, whatever it takes to get Mayor, ON YOUR OWN. You'll feel 10x more accomplished by completing your goals on your own, without handouts. You'll have proved that you can do things independently, which is what being Mayor is all about; being a leader, making good decisions. Definitely not trying to take shortcuts.

 

Agreed. Even though I'm becoming a Mayor on the basis of a single donation, and I became a Resident so quickly because of a donation, it was because I was able to prove I was worthy of it all. Giving rank-ups to any random Builder or Resident solely because they're a Builder or Resident is against the principles of the hardcore economy, where people attain money based on whether they deserve it.

 

OMG YOU GUYS!!! I JUST HAD A GREAT IDEA!!! Lets all join a club and give a resident all our money!! He can totally be trusted, because he has no donation ranks, and it's a going to a great cause! Which is to help people who are to lazy to get up off there own asses and make money, all of the money we earn so they don't have to earn it them selves!!!:O I for one, would love to join this club and donate 40k a month to the beggers of ecc. Now who's with me!!!!

Another reason why no one's going to donate is because you've already gotten a history of being caught on the wrong end of the ban hammer. While spamming and grief aren't necessarily offenses that'll deter people from giving you money, they do imply a strong lack of maturity that a lot of wealthy users won't find appealing. They might think, "If this guy can't handle his chat, how can he handle his money, or even an entire town?"
Plus begging for money IRL won't get you anywhere except onto the streets. Wanna know why? Because life, and pardon my French, is a b----. It's not fair and nobody owes you anything. You actually have to get off your butt, get a job, and work for your money, and if you're too lazy to do that in a videogame, then you'll never get anywhere in the cold, harsh, reality outside your door.

 

I do want Mayor so bad, but I'm not going to accept donations of money! I'm going to work my butt off and earn mayor myself by pumpkin farming, renting a melon sword, and maybe lottery. That's how you should do it!

 

Calm down people. If he wants to ask for donations let him. Even if no one helps him, I see no need to make fun of him. I thought you guys would know better.

 

As they say, if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Making fun of how other users attempt to help/assist new users to the server does not need to be made fun in the slightest. Now if you do not wish to contribute to this cause you do not have to but I ask you keep your sarcastic comments and comments that are not encouraging or involved in this cause out of this thread please.

 

Mistical_tomahwak, what I said earlier was very rude and not thought out. I should treat all members of the comunity equally. What I said was unfair, unkind, and plain out mean. I cinserely apologize for what I said. I don't expect you to forgive me. I just want you to know I'm sorry. I look back on this and wish I hadn't said anything. That is not the person I want to be and it will not happen again

 

For what it matters, I do forgive you Kcon, even if you weren't directed at me. As I knew that you knew better then that.
