On the show tonight we are going to get to know Jose0213 a little better, and as always a musical feature, this time decided by our first guest, whos Matrix_rep! Give him a warm applause! Welcome to The Late Night Show, Matrix_rep! Nice to see you! Now, you have been around on the server for quite some time now 4 years almost, and I can't really think of any player that has done more stuff on the server than you, is there anything you haven't done? And what are you up to these days? I honestly never got into making a town for builders / residents or building a town in general. Building just never excites me on ECC. Now I'm really not too active on the server as college is really taking a toll on my free time. You say building never excites you on the server, why is that? Not quite sure. To be honest I never really played vanilla MC before ECC. I bought my MC account to join and play on ECC. The only reason I stayed on ECC was because of the great community. Whats the story behind beginning to play minecraft in the first place? My irl friend dccciz told me and a couple others about the server. A bunch of us joined but I was the only one that stayed for the long run. As far as I can tell you have lost almost 20 million ECD on sportsbook, and at some point you were even running it for andrewkm, how did that happen? Sportsbook was not very profitable for me as you can see by that stat haha. But yes andrew was looking for a sportsbookie one day since he was busy irl for a stretch of time. I asked him if I could serve as the bookie, given my past history of hosting SOE (a legendary sportsbook company). Andrew decided to give me a shot! After working some permission settings with my account I was able to add games straight to the ECC sportsbook for the ECC public to bet on! I served around 8 weeks as the bookie and I had a ton of fun doing it! Gambling seems to be something you really enjoy. Do you remember your first gambling experience on the server? And when did you decide to start /warp debt? I think I won a huge lotto with one ticket. I decided to open warp debt to give people a chance at making money with gambling at reasonable odds. Before my games, most casino games had really terrible odds and were unfair towards the gambler. I'm pretty sure warp debt has been around for 2+ years now, and I have to say I have always enjoyed hosting there. What is your best memory/moment on ECC so far? Any cool stories? Best moment was joining TR, hands down. I probably would have left ECC much earlier if it wasn't for Team Rheas. This was also around the time when I created warp debt so yea overall summer of 2015 was my favorite. The coolest stories I will have to keep private! Haha, I can agree with you on that one. The very coolest stories have to be kept private. Luckily. You have actually both struck and been struck by the ban-hammer over the years, how was your time on staff like? And were you surprised you got the chance? I really enjoyed my time on staff, and yes I was surprised when I got it. My close friends and I knew how serious I could be if I wanted to, but I knew around 90% of the server deemed me as simply a troll. If andrew didn't do the picks that round I doubt I would have gotten it, so shoutout to Mr. KM and thanks again! I hated doing contracts but I loved doing complaints lol. You say 90% consider you a troll, and that you can be serious if you want to. What makes someone a troll, and how do you feel about being known as one, according to yourself, by the majority of the community? Well, I think pre staff most thought of me as a troll, afterwards, i think that perspective changed drastically. A troll is someone who constantly jokes around and rarely thinks or cares about the consequences of their actions. Personally I didn't care if people viewed me as a troll. Those who wanted to get to know me as an actual person got to (all my close friends) and that was good enough for me. You aren't going to please everyone so just be yourself! Seeing as the number of players on ECC has decreased over the years, what do you think the server should do to increase its player count? I will answer that just gotta think abt potential options Il get back to you later On the security line for a flight xd Where are you flying? Home! For Thanksgiving, been away at college Awesome. Its funny because Strongpelt (Comes next Tuesday) did her whole interview on an airplane. There is something about The Late Night Show and airplanes apparently.... haha There are two feasible options that I see for ECC moving forward. 1) staying as an economy server and keep the community your main focus (what I think ecc is about), and ride and die. 2) get skyblock and try to compete with other servers who already have the player bases that we are striving to take. Simply getting skyblock isn't going to fix the player count there needs to be some creative innovation that ECC brings to the table that no other server offers. Overall not to be a buzzkill I don't see our player count skyrocketing ever again. My advice is to stick with the community we have and if it comes to it die together, not alone. Ill ask you 5 quick questions, and you will answer them by giving a rating of 1-18 golf balls, which by the way is the official measurment of everything here on the show. 1 golf ball is terrible, 18 is really good. A few people might not know an awful lot about you, are you up for a round of "It's a day in the life of you"? Hello Appleprocucling, I sure am ready ;’) How old are you? I am 16 years old, I turn 17 in February Where are you from, and where do you currently live? I am from Southern New Jersey, and still do currently live there. Hows school going these days? Very well, I am maintaining about a 3.2 gpa Got any plans after graduation? Yes actually, after I graduate I plan to go to college majoring in Biology, and after that I want to go to medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon! What do you like to do when you are not at school or on ECC? Well, when I’m not at school, or on ECC, then I probably am at work. I am a Ride Operator at Six Flags Great Adventure. Do you operate the same ride all the time, or do you have some variation in your workday? You have to get trained at each individual ride, I am currently trained at 13 rides so I have moved around a lot. If you are trained for 1 ride though, you stay there every day. Whats the best thing about working at Six Flags? It would have to be my coworkers, they help get me through the day. I don’t know what I would do without them! I don't know, run the park alone? Hahaha! How did you discover ECC? Honestly? I can’t even remember xD, I believe one day I was scrolling down minecraftservers.org and was going on all of the servers to find one that I could play over a long range of time and not get bored with easily.
