I just finished it. Impressive game. I loved the atmosphere and the characters. Story was alright. Gameplay was fabulous. They really captured the emotions well and the cinematics were beautiful. Very minscule flaws here and there but overall, one of the best games I've played this year... Partially because I LOVE apocalypse/survival games and I have been waiting for this game to come out since forever ago. Also I love connecting Joel's character to Booker from the game Bioshock Infinite and vise versa for Ellie and Elizabeth. Both main characters are fathers who "lost" their daughters and then end up doing all sorts of bad business and eventually has to work with a girl they barely know... But then eventually they bond with them and create a father-daughter relationship. And interestingly enough I found out that the man who voiced Booker is the same man who voiced Joel. HAO IRONIC. :3
I did not play the game, but I did watch a YTer play it. Probably one of the best games I have ever seen. It gives me a lot of feels. Very emotional game; very pretty. The parallels to Bioshock Infinite made me quite happy, too--but I am betting it makes a lot of people upset. This new kind of character relationship is refreshing in games, though.
I loved it 100%. Beautiful game, great characters, captures emotions amazingly. One of the best games i've ever played/seen. I cant wait for the sequels to come out. I have to say though, personally, at the end, i think ellie will voluntarily give herself up for the surgery.
There were a lot of sad moments that almost made me cry... lol 'almost'... but they did really great with capturing human emotion.
